Book
Blurb:
Cocktales, Book FourJayne Kent has watched her best friends and business partners fall in love while romance continues to pass her by. When Books and Brew regular Elias Clark offers her a Screaming Orgasm, she wishes it was the sexual variety rather than a lousy drink. She’s been lusting after Elias forever and suspects he could bring all her naughty, kinky fantasies to life.
Elias has resisted his attraction to Jayne for years, assuming his dominance in the bedroom would send sweet, romantic Jayne running for the hills. Or would it? Alone in a snowstorm, Elias tests the waters and is blown away by Jayne’s innate submissiveness and eagerness to stretch her boundaries. Ice play? Bondage? Flogging? Bring it on.
Soon it’s no longer a question of whether or not Elias should pursue Jayne, even if she’s not sure she’s brave enough to submit to him forever. She’s made for him, and this determined alpha male will stop at nothing until he’s claimed her—completely.
Melinda’s
Review:
Jayne owns Books and Brew with her
three friends, who have all found love.
She had thrown herself into work and taken care of everyone but
herself. Elias has been coming in to the
store reading books and she has the biggest “crush” on him. She even placed a bid on him six months ago
at the bachelor auction.
One night at the store a storm was
brewing outside Jayne decided since it was just her and Elias in the store she
was going to have a drink, which she never does. Jayne tried one of Elias favorite drinks,
Scotch. Needless to say she thinks it is
terrible. Knowing Jayne loves coffee
Elias makes her a drink that she loves a Screaming Orgasm. Elias tells her to close the shop early
because of the weather. After she does
this he makes a proposition to submit to him.
There is a fight going on in Jayne’s
head because she is a submissive but she thinks being a submissive makes you
weak. After negotiating they agree to 5
nights of her submitting to him, although he wants more Jayne just can’t give
him more.
After 3 dates Jayne is still scared
to fully commit to submitting to Elias.
Elias wanted more and basically told her he wanted all or nothing and
walked away.
Everything is up to Jayne does she
walk away or realized Elias is exactly what she needs and wants.
My favorite line:
“Did I pass out?” ~Jayne
“More likely you fell asleep from exhaustion, but let’s go
with the fainting idea. Makes me sound like a stud.” ~Elias
Now I need to go back and check out
the other three books to see how Stephanie, Jordan and Sophie got their, as
Stephanie put it, “hottest, set-the-sheets-on-fire guys in Portland.”
About Mari Carr
Writing a book was number one on Mari’s bucket list and on her
thirty-fourth birthday, she set out to see that goal achieved. Now her
computer is jammed full of stories—novels, novellas, short stories and
dead-ends. A New York Times and USA Today bestseller, as well as winner
of the Passionate Plume, Mari finds time for writing by squeezing it
into the hours between 3 a.m. and daybreak, when her family is asleep
and the house is quiet.http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Heat_Wave_Readers/join
