have already purchased the anthology, there is no new content in this
stand-alone novelette.
A prequel to One Night with Sole Regret
After a benefit concert, Lindsey longs to spend an amazing Christmas Eve with
her favorite band, Sole Regret, to thank them for their generosity. Even though
she followed their tour bus up a slick mountain pass during a blizzard, she
never expected to spend an entire snowy night with two generous rock stars who
love to share their gifts. Trapped on a tour bus with her best friend, a rock
band, and the bus driver, what can these naughty ladies possibly do to keep
warm? Perhaps a better question is what won't they do?
Contains a whole lot of kinky antics. Sensitive readers, beware.
Melinda’s Review:
A friend gifted me this book for my
birthday. I read the first three sole regrets but it has been a while and I
decided to do a re-read of the books in order for our blog. This is the prequel
and is a quick read.
It's Christmas Eve and 2 fans,
Lindsey and Vanessa, follow the bands bus after a concert when they get stuck
in a blizzard. The guys invite the ladies on the bus with them after they
accidently pelt Lindsey with snowballs. The things that happen on the bus still
have me blushing. I won't lie I was a little uncomfortable reading some of the
things but I still liked the book.
Owen was funny and sweet, u can tell
he really cares for all the band members and is still a kid at heart. Owen and
Kellen are some kind of wonderful with the ropes. This is a great introduction
to each band member and a little glimpse at their driver too. I give this book
a 4 star rating.
Book
Description:
For the five sexy rock gods of Sole
Regret, finding love is easy, keeping it is hard.
Melanie has no desire to meet the members of the rock band, Sole Regret, but
her groupie of a best friend gets them both backstage and then rushes off with
the band’s lead singer. Left alone at an after party with a bunch of scary
tattooed and pierced metal-heads, sheltered Melanie is relieved when the only
normal-looking guy in the room insists on keeping her company.
By the time Melanie discovers that Gabe is the band’s drummer and not as normal
as she assumed, she has already made a complete fool of herself. She can’t help but be interested in him,
not as a rock star, but as the sexiest man she’s ever encountered. Strangely
attracted to his hidden tattoos and body piercing, she wonders what it would be
like to spend a night with a bad boy.
Gabe is more than willing to show sweet Melanie there’s more to him than meets
the eye. All she has to do is try him. Will they only share a single night of
passion? Or will their hearts entangle as quickly as their bodies?
Try Me is the first erotic novella in Olivia Cunning’s One Night with Sole
Regret series.
Contains explicit sex, graphic language, and a hot rock star with a naughty and
inventive mind.
Melinda’s
Review:
I purchased this book a while back
and read it. My friend recently bought me the rest of the set as a birthday
gift. I read the first three sole regrets but it has been a while and I decided
to do a re- read of the books in order for our blog. Boy am I glad I decided to
do this because I remembered some things but there were so many other things I
had forgotten about.
Melanie goes to the concert with her
friend who is a total fan girl with a plan to meet the band. Melanie has no
interest in meeting the tattooed band members. So when she finds one normal guy
amongst all the tattooed ones that seems to want to talk to her she is
relieved. She has no idea that he is the drummer, Gabe, who under his ball cap
has a Mohawk and tattoos on his head. Gabe is intrigued that Mel doesn't know
who he is or infatuated with the band. He also loves the fact she turned Shade
down.
There was some crazy sex due to
Gabe's inventive mind in this book. I loved Gave because there is so much more
to him than just being the drummer in the band. Melanie has a heart of gold and
worries about her best friend and wants to protect her no matter how
uncomfortable she is.
Keep in mind this is a novella so
things move fast. At the end I found myself wanting more and kept trying to
turn the page to find it. As in most novellas I read I wished this was longer
and was able to see more and Melanie and Gabe. They make such a great couple
bringing out things hidden deep within each other. I give this book a 4 star
rating.

Madison has no problem tempting Adam into her bed, but can she tempt his heart
into taking a chance on love?
Tempt Me is the second novella in Olivia Cunning’s Sole Regret series. This
39,000 word erotic romance novella contains explicit sexual situations,
including some rough backdoor lovin’, hair-pulling, spanking, and whole lotta
dirty talk.
Melinda’s Review:
I purchased this book along with Try
Me and Take me a while back. My friend recently bought me the rest of the set
as a birthday gift. I read the first three sole regrets but it has been a while
and I decided to do a re-read of the books in order for our blog.
Adam has been hooking up with his
counselor, Madison, in Dallas for almost a year now. He won't admit his
feelings for her. He sees her as sweet innocent and doesn't want to expose her
to the press and fans. Madison is anything but shy when it is just her and
Adam. She loves to "Tempt" him into doing things her way even though
he really wants to treat her another way.
Adam has dark demons that he is
trying to overcome and it seems Madison is the only one that believes in him.
Adam has this tough guy persona nothing bothers him and him and Shade have some
hate thing boiling that you’re not sure why or how it came about. Then you get
a peek at the inside and he is totally not that guy when he is alone with
Madison, he is a caring and loving, shows his emotions. I just love when you
get to see all sides.
I enjoyed this book you get to see
more personality out of the Adam and even Shade. I cannot wait to read more of
the guys. Oh and in the acknowledgments Olivia Cunning states Gabe and Melanie,
from Try Me, and Adam and Madison will both get another novella --this makes me
happy. I want to see how these relationships grow and end up. I give this book
a 4.5 star rating.

Review:
I purchased this book along with Try
Me and Tempt Me a while back. My friend recently bought me the rest of the set
as a birthday gift. I read the first three sole regrets but it has been a while
and I decided to do a re-read of the books in order for our blog. I realized
how much I forgot when I read this book.
I do have to say Shade/Jacob is my
favorite so far. Shade is pissed at Adam for making them late getting to Austin
and making him miss Julie's, his 4 year old daughters, birthday party. Then
when they pull in he sees his car is missing-- talk about having a bad day.
Owen offers to drop Shade off at his ex-wife's house so he can see his
daughter. Needless to say his ex is not happy to see him and starts a fight and
puts him down in front of their daughter, but in the end he does get to see
Julie. Wow the side we get to see of Shade with Julie had me choking up. When
his ex makes him leave her older sister, Amanda, offers to take him home.
Amanda has had feelings for Jacob
but doesn't want to let anyone know especially him. Jacob doesn't want to get
involved in a relationship with anyone let alone his ex-wife's sister, but man
is he drawn to her. Shade tries to be the bad ass, I don't give a shit guy, but
when he gets around his 4 year old daughter he turns into the best loving
caring sappy Daddy. It was so touching to see him interact with Julie and sing "Angel"
and "I don't want to miss a thing" --or the baby song as Julie calls
it.
Shade's bedroom wow I could not
imagine what that would be like. That was nothing like I have ever read about
before. I will say it was not your average bed and dresser with a tv setup.
You'll just have to read it yourself to find out what I'm talking about cause
I'm not tell u anything more than Wozers.
You finally get the inside scope on
why Shade is so irritated at Adam and its a biggie. Lets just say if I were a
guy I would be ticked too. I am loving these books one of the reasons is
because Olivia cunning doesn't wrap each book up in a nice neat package with a
HEA, there is still some uncertainty and unknown at the end of each book just
like in real life. Lets face it, it is
just One Night with Sole Regret not a life time. I give this book a 5 star rating.
Book
Description:
Book
4 in the One Night with Sole Regret serial series
He went there looking for a sure bet…
Sole Regret’s bassist, Owen Mitchell, is convinced that romance is for chumps.
He’s only looking for a good time, and when he spots an attractive, older woman
emitting men-suck vibes at a brand new sex club, he’s sure he’s found it.
She went there hoping to get over her ex-husband…
Successful business woman, Caitlyn Hanson, is still infuriated and hurt over
her ex-husband’s affair with a much younger woman. She’s only looking to scrub his claim from
her body by offering it to the first attractive man who shows her interest, and
the young, hot stud, who just sat down at her table, will do quite nicely.
They never meant to get personal…
Caitlyn knows she’s not supposed to get attached to Owen just because he gives
her body pleasure unlike any she’s ever known, but it’s her first one-night-stand
and she can’t seem to keep her heart out of the equation. For once, Owen finds
himself in the same conundrum. He likes Caitlyn too much to keep his heart at a
safe distance, but will a mistake from Owen’s past drive her away forever?
Melinda’s Review:
My friend gifted me this book for my
birthday. I just love this series the books get better and better as I keep
reading. There is so much more to these guys than their bas ass rocker
attitudes. I am so enjoying getting to know them.
Owen and Kellen are off to the sex
club. Owen spots Caitlyn who is giving off the "men-suck vibe".
Caitlyn is visiting the club because she is pissed her ex-Husband for cheated
on her with his 19 yr old student and wants to have sex with someone. Owen tries
to get her to let Kellen tie her up so he can have his way with her. However,
she has other ideas she gets Owen to agree to let Kellen tie him up and let her
have her way with him.
Although they agree not to get to
know anything personal about each other they find themselves breaking that
rule. Kellen tells Caitlyn a secret about Owen that he is none too happy that
Kellen let out. I was very surprised to find out how kind, caring, and
sensitive Owen really is. He seems to be the playboy where nothing bothers him
and doesn't care about anything and it is so the opposite with him.
Owen has all these rules about women
and to find out it is to protect his heart made me want to jump in the book and
hug the guy. Some of my favorite scenes: first one was the video chat between
Owen and his brother I loved that he is so close to his family. Second is when Owen tells Caitlyn what's truly
sexy about a woman—all I can say is well done Owen well done. Third is when
Owen takes her on the bus to go to the next concert and Kellen and Gabe give
him a hard time about breaking all his "stupid" rules as Gabe calls
them.
At the end there is something that
is going to change someone's life drastically, we are just not sure who's
yet…talk about a "WHAT!!!!" I am so ready to start reading the next
book...that's right Kellen is up he is the last to find someone after the loss
of his one and only. I so want him to be happy. I have to give this book a 5
star rating.
Book
Description:
His
heart is tied to his past…
When Sole Regret’s rhythm guitarist, Kellen Jamison, vowed to be faithful to
his fiancée and love her forever, he meant it. He never expected to lose her to
cancer so early in life. He’s certain he’ll never love again, but destiny has

Her heart is tied to her work…

overwhelmed with music-writing deadlines, a fickle muse, and high-expectations.
She doesn’t have time to find love, but chance
seeks to interfere with her carefully devised plans.
They’re bound to become entangled...
From the instant Kellen hears Dawn’s latest musical composition, his spirits
rise. The stirring melody and the remarkable woman responsible for its creation
are impossible to resist. His attraction is undeniable; her passion
unquenchable. Kellen teaches Dawn there’s freedom in bondage, while her
sensuality drives him to unleash his tightly controlled self-restraint. Will
the ropes Kellen uses to secure Dawn’s body be the force that binds them
together or ultimately sever all ties between them?
Melinda’s Review:
My friend gifted me this book for my
birthday. I am a little sad that this is the last book I have to read for One
Night with Sole Regret. Now I have to wait like everyone else to read more and
I need more one night with these guys is just not enough. I've said it before
and I'll say it again there is just so much more to these guys than what they
try to let everyone think.
Kellen was raised by his alcoholic
mom and never knew his dad. He was fortunate in Jr. High to meet his best
friend Owen whose mom and family took kellen in as a segregate family member.
Kellen fell head over heels for Sara who was taken from him by cancer 5 years
ago. He cannot and will not let her go. I really do not like this woman because
of the things she made him promise her on her death bed things she had no right
to ask of him.
The night he decides to let her go
he hears beautiful piano music. This is when he meets the talented Grammy
winning Dawn and after spending some time and the night tying her up he is able
to think of someone other than Sara. However, when the sun wakes him up he
realizes the promises he broke to Sara and bolts only leaving a "Dear Dawn"
letter.
Want to know how it ends? I'm not
going to say; you’re going to have to read it yourself I've already sad enough.
Oh yeah and the life changing event in Touch Me it’s still here in Tie Me and
will probable still be here in Tell Me if I'm guessing right.
I love that Kellen was finally able
to let go even if for just a few hours and was happy. There is a whole different
side to him when he lets his guard down and is playfully. I love that the
stubborn Dawn was the one to help him let his guard down. These two fit
perfectly even though it was just one night. He was able to help her and she
helped him. Like I said before one night is not enough so now I get to wait for
Tell Me to have another night with sole regret. Let the waiting begin. I give
this book a 4.5 star rating.

Tie Me
and the prequel novelette: Share Me
Melinda’s Review:
Can I tell you I was so ready to have another night with Force! I just love how his mind works and those inventions OMG. We get to see another side of him on this weekend get away with Melanie. Never would have guessed any of the things about him that he showed Melanie at his home. I mean from the type of home he lived in to the things he liked to do.
Melanie still feels the need to take care of Nikki and this cause some tension between her and Gabe and the band in a way. Gabe having things in his past he can kind of understand her need to protect Nikki but it still gets to him. Gabe also has things in his past that come out to haunt him. It was nice to see how much they were able to get to know one another on their weekend.
I don’t want to say too much and give anything away so if you want to know what went on, who Melanie meets, what inventions Gabe introduces her too, or what other surprises there are in this book you will have to read them for yourself. There were parts in this book were I had to hold back the tears and found myself holding my breath telling myself keep reading.
My two favorite quotes are from Gabe:
“Being rejected for what you are on the outside is easy,” he said. “It’s when you’re rejected for what you are on the inside that really hurts.”
“I think a man can love many women in his life, until he finds his one and only. Then it’s game over. He’s stuck loving her, and no one else, for the rest of his life.”
I am so ready to read about Adam’s weekend with Madison at La Petite Mort, then on to Jacob and Amanda weekend, followed by Owen and Caitlyn, then Kellen and Dawn’s weekend. I love how Olivia Cunning set the series up with seeing one night each with the guys on the road and now living the same weekend with each couple. It is great that we get little snippets into each of the band members and then into each couple none of the stories are wrapped up in a neat little bow at the end. I like the feeling that I might be able to see more of them in the future.
