Angie S-J's review:

Ok so I read this book because my name is also Angie Stanton. I figure heck I love books so why not read an author who has the same name. Man I am thrilled I did. I chose this book because who doesn't love a rock star falling for the girl next door. I fell in love with Libby and Peter. I loved the sweet, innocent love story and sobbed crocodile tears when they were ripped apart (shakes my fist at Garrett and Jett). I am not a great big YA reader but I thought the story was amazing. The tragedy that poor Libby has gone through and continues to go through daily is just awful. She stays true to her sweet nature and wont let anything change her. Peter on the other hand has never found someone who he can trust likes/loves him for him and not rock star him. I felt bad because even tough he has all the fame he is essentially lonely like Libby. Their love story is gut wrenching at times. When they are reunited I will so happy and then screamed at Libby but thankfully Peter wasn't buying it. I for one would totally read another story from these two...since i am a newbie to this author I may have to investigate that possibility~~~~

Snapshot (The Jamieson Collection, #2)

Book Blurb:
Marti Hunter hates rockers and anything remotely related to the rock-and-roll lifestyle. She thought she’d left that all behind, along with her drug-addicted mother and absent-minded rock legend father. Now she lives with her grandmother, and Marti’s life is finally normal. Just the way she likes it.

For Adam Jamieson, normal is not possible. He is the genius guitar player of the band Jamieson. He’s ecstatic to finally get a two-week break from his micromanaged life and a chance to hang with regular teens. Adam’s shaving off his trademark curls and going undercover.

But when Marti, the reluctant rock princess, and Adam, the undercover guitar wizard, meet, sparks fly in more ways than one. They spend their time alternating between making out and driving each other crazy. But their summer adventures of skinny dipping, storm watching, and stolen kisses are brought to a halt when tragedy strikes.

Suddenly, they’re on opposite sides of the country, just when they need each other the most. Can Marti survive life with her dad and his vicious girlfriend? Will Adam get so fed up with his over-managed life and controlling parents that he quits the band?

Angie S-J's Review:

OMG I started this book Saturday morning at 7:30 and finished at 12:30.  Thankfully the husband fed the children and took care of them because I was completely engaged in this book.  I am not a huge YA reader as I stated before but these books just drew me in totally and completely.

I loved Marti's fun and feisty attitude and the way she was relentless with teasing Adam/AJ at camp.  Their love the two develop was very true to teen passion.  The fact the issue of unprotected sex and the possible ramification are an issue that teens this day deal with.  The author didn't graze over the issue either.  The characters both knew what they risked with the fear of a child at 15 and 16 years of age could and would do to their lives.

So anyway, I would and have recommended this series to my friends.e I enjoyed the sweet and innocent but true presentation of teen love/lust/passion.    But I need Garrett to get a book because he needs to get his butt kicked by cupid!!!!  HINT HINT !!

Jo-Anna's Review:

This was my first historical romance and I wasn't sure if I would like it cause it's not a genre that I would normally read but I surprised myself and actually enjoyed this book. I thought the character development was done really well and the story had some intense moments. Gotta love a man in a kilt. ;)

Consummate Therapy Series by Willsin Rowe and Katie Salidas

Submission Therapy (Consummate Therapy 1)

Book Blurb:
Billionaire CEO of Blakely Incorporated, Natasha runs her empire with an eagle eye for every detail. She’s an obsessive, compulsive, micromanaging hard-ass, consumed by the need to control every aspect of her life and her business.

But underneath that seemingly strong façade, Natasha is a swirling mess of anger, anxiety and sexual addiction. Only her therapist, Dr. Benson, knows how close she is to burning out...or exploding. He insists on a radical form of treatment – Submission Therapy – knowing that it’s her only hope.

Skeptical but intrigued, Natasha agrees to attend the first session. What she finds there is an erotically-charged environment that will forgive none of her habitual bad behavior. And a steely-eyed man who seems to read her every desire - even the ones she won’t admit to herself.

Will Natasha learn what it means to submit? Or will she allow her brittle pride to rob her of what she truly needs?

Occupational Therapy (Consummate Therapy 2)

Book Blurb:
Natasha’s experience at the hands of Master Sweet has left her both drained and enlightened. Wanting nothing more than to curl up against him for as long as she can, she is dismayed when he sends her home to dwell on all she’s learned.
But being a creature of habit, Natasha’s stubborn and rebellious nature leads her back into her old patterns, threatening to undo all her progress. When her symptoms return in full force, she begins to doubt not only the effectiveness of Submission Therapy, but also the motivations of her Master.
Learning of her disobedience, Master Sweet brings forward Natasha’s next session. But recognizing her behavior for what it is - a cry for attention - leads Him to change His approach dramatically. If Natasha thought her first lesson was hard...she’s in for a real eye-opener.
Does the embattled billionaire have the internal strength to earn back her Master’s trust? And how will she handle it when his intentions suddenly become even more serious

Immersion Therapy (Consummate Therapy 3)

Book Blurb:

The order and consistency in her life has been shattered by these terrifying new found feelings and desires. When even her employees find true love, Natasha’s world feels somehow unreal. Could this thing called ‘love’ be real? And could Master truly feel the same for her?

Now she faces the biggest emotional decision of her life. Will she accept her Master’s collar, and the commitment that it entails? Or should she say goodbye to her Master and forever abandon the hope of a loving relationship with the one man who truly knows her?

Angie J's review of the series:

I received this book from the authors for a truthful review.

I must say that I am a big fan of the BDSM type books and have read a fair share thanks to a certain "trilogy" that I will not name here.  I found I enjoy reading BDSM along with many other types of books.  When the authors asked our blog to review the series we jumped.  When I initially started reading the books I thought the "technical" writing about BDSM was good but I didn't feel the emotional connection with the characters.  However, as the series continued I totally did!!!

Natasha is your typical beeotch who is all consumed with money, status and making everyone feel like crap basically.  She has been through years of therapy and seems to have met her match with her current therapist Dr. Benson.  He tells her to go to a hotel within an hour and she will try a new therapy.  Well stubborn, strong willed Natasha does and gets schooled by Master Sweet.  The series is through Natasha's eyes.  She is given orders by Master Sweet and soon learns alot about herself through following and not following his orders....Silly Natasha for not following his orders.......

I did enjoy the series as a whole and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a quick read.  All three of the books were 104 nook pages.

Book Clip PG rating:

This scene is when Natasha shows up at the hotel for the very first time and Chloe answers the door for Master Sweet......

"Give me your bag"

"Go to hell"

She held out her hand and tapped her foot "Bag.Now."

My hands found my hips almost of their own accord. "Do you know who you're talking to matchstick?"

"I know and care in equal amounts."

I didn't appreciate the snark in her tone.  And despite my dangerous stare, her green eyes did not waver from my face.  Any of my underlings would have cowered in fear, but for the second time in an hour it had no effect.  I pulled my phone out and turned to leave. " I knew this was useless." I started to dial Simon.

"No." A voice, deep and calm, burst from the shadow-filled doorway directly across from room 112.

I froze a moment as the owner of the voice seemed to grow from the very darkness before me.  He stepped forward, tall and broad-shouldered. his face masked from forehead to mouth, his legs encased in black leather pants, his torso bare.  He looked as if he could snap me in half with one hand.  The mask he wore worried me a little.  Only superheros and criminals wore masks...and there are no superheros.  So why did he need to hide his identity?  For that matter, what had I agreed to by coming here?

I don't yet know if I can ski, speak Italian or keep calm in a life-threatening situation, but I have my suspicions.
I play bass in a swampy blues band. I love to sing and don't let my voice get in the way.

Infinity: Chronicles of Nick by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Book Blurb

At fourteen, Nick Gautier thinks he knows everything about the world around him. Streetwise, tough and savvy, his quick sarcasm is the stuff of legends. . .until the night when his best friends try to kill him. Saved by a mysterious warrior who has more fighting skills than Chuck Norris, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity.

Nick quickly learns that the human world is only a veil for a much larger and more dangerous one: a world where the captain of the football team is a werewolf and the girl he has a crush on goes out at night to stake the undead.

But before he can even learn the rules of this new world, his fellow students are turning into flesh eating zombies. And he’s next on the menu.
As if starting high school isn't hard enough. . .now Nick has to hide his new friends from his mom, his chainsaw from the principal, and keep the zombies and the demon Simi from eating his brains, all without getting grounded or suspended. How in the world is he supposed to do that?

Jo-Anna's Review

For YA books, this is probably one of my favorites. I love Nick's sarcasm and his sense of humor. I also love learning about the characters from the beginning, before the Dark Hunter series. I enjoyed getting to know them when they're younger. This is a great opener for what I know will be an amazing and adventurous series!!! Can't wait to read the rest of the books!
