Wet Dreams by JM Madden

Wet Dream (1 Night Stand, #24)

Book Blurb:

Ex-FBI agent Ginger Hampton is not surprised when her date is a no show. Madame Evangeline, owner of 1NightStand promised her a perfect night…but Ginger is used to disappointment in love. The fact that she’s six feet tall, model perfect and owns her own high-end security firm tends to intimidate men. In spite of herself, she’d had high hopes for this date.

Madame Eve’s email had told him to watch for a woman in distress, and the woman at the bar is exactly that. Chief of Security Cameron Jones doesn’t see himself as a hero, but he’s willing to check on a special guest for his boss. He doesn’t realize until he sees her face that it’s Ginger Hampton, his own personal weak spot. She’s not turned off by his brutal scarring, and even flirts as if she’s interested. When he escorts her to her room, does he have the balls to respond to her interest, and stay the night? How can he say no to…his own personal wet dream?

Angie J's review:

I enjoyed this book alot.  I have read several of the 1 Night Stand books from another author and thought this was a great addition to the series.  I loved that both the characters had such normal insecurities.  I had major tummy flutters listening to Cameron tell all about his sad history after the war.  I liked him instantly but to hear of his heart break after his trama made me love him even more.  Ginger was a alpha female who was IMO looking to submit to a man.  Thankfully Cameron was that right man for the job.  I would have loved reading more about these two because their story just seemed to be starting when the book was over.  I think it is a great way for new readers to get a glimps into a writers style with the short novellas.  Give it a try.  I dont think you will be let down.

FUTURES AND FROSTING BY TARA SIVEC

Futures and Frosting by Tara Sivec I laughed, smiled, snorted, tinkled in my pants (just a little) and cryed. Tara once again had me ROLLING in the floor laughing. I get lost in the lives of Claire, Carter, Gavin, Liz, Jim, Drew, Jenny and now Sophia. This was a GREAT sequel to Seduction and Snacks. Thank you Tara, your writing is so unique it's like reading your BFF's diary..*snickers*

NOBODY'S PERFECT BY KALLYPSO MASTERS

Nobody's Perfect by Kallypso Masters I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would give 100 stars if possible. This is by far the BEST book of the series. Kally really went ALL OUT on this book and it was SOOOO worth the wait. This book hit home with me on an emotional level that no book has before. I found myself so inovolved with Savi's character that I went through all the emotions with her. I found myself crying through most of this book (which is a compliment). This book was an inspiration to me. I learned alot about myself and how to deal with some stuggles from my own past with abuse. Thank you Kally for such an amazing book.
My Leige of Dark Haven by Cherise Sinclair

My Liege of Dark Haven (Mountain Masters, #3)

Book Blurb:

Threatened by university cutbacks, Professor Abigail Bern’s only hope is to publish a provocative research paper--soon. Planning to covertly observe behavior in the notorious Dark Haven BDSM club, she takes a receptionist job. When the owner calls upon her to assist in a demonstration, she’s appalled. Then fascinated. Under the unyielding hands of the master known as my Liege, she discovers a need to be more than an observer.

His late wife had been the center of his life, and Xavier Leduc wants no other. But when his new receptionist does her utmost to keep an emotional distance from him, he’s intrigued and digs deeper. She’s adorable. Intriguingly intelligent, beautifully submissive, sweetly vulnerable. He soon realizes her defenses are keeping her on the fringe of her sexuality--and her life. As he draws her into fuller participation, she unconsciously does the same for him. She begins to fill his world.

Ever since the night she met my Liege Xavier, Abby has questioned everything she believes about herself. She’s falling for the stern owner of Dark Haven and thinks he’s beginning to care for her...until the day he learns why she’s in his club.

Angie J Review:

So I must admit starting this book I was a little bit scared of My Leige. He was a very powerful, all consuming man and I had some reservations about him. Man, am I glad I was wrong. He was so sweet and passionate but very in control of everything all the time. He melted my heart at how he cared for the puppies and was kinda "girlie" when he wasnt going to be introduced to her parents at the party she wouldnt invite him too. I had to laugh that this powerful man had a little bit of an ego check with Abby.

All in all I loved the book and the chemistry. I have never read a "bad" book from Cherise. She writes and makes sure that the reader is satisfied with the story everytime.  I love that she gives us characters like Master deVries who we are terrified about but at the same time are dying to find out more of the man...but not up close and personal thank you.  LOL

PS The fact that I am a street team member and Cherise gave us a shout out was kinda cool....squee!!

Savin' Me by Alannah Lynne

Savin' Me (Heat Wave, #1)

Book Blurb:
One step away from the coveted Vice Presidency of her firm, the last thing Kat Owens needs is the distraction of a man. Her client, Erik Monteague, disagrees. He’s charming, sexy, seductive, and impossible to ignore or refuse. After succumbing to his advances, Kat’s forced to choose between her career and the man she’s fallen for... while knowing even her love might not be enough to save him from self-destructing.

While Erik’s perfectly executed seduction gets Kat into his bed, the end result is more than he bargained for. Having spent the past ten years wallowing in guilt and self-loathing over his fiancĂ©e’s tragic death, falling in love is unacceptable. However, Kat’s passionate, loving nature dissolves the carefully constructed walls guarding his heart, forcing him to face his tragic past and make a decision... spend the rest of his life running, or risk being devastated by love again?

Angie J Review:

So I sit here at my laptop and all I can say is WOW!! This book was absolutely amazing. I loved the chemistry between Erik and Kat. I loved that my stomach got tight when they were getting in their own way of happiness. I loved the side plots with Elise and I just broke at the Lindsey story. I think that Alannah did a wonderful job with the story and cant wait to read more of the series....uhm Kevin....yummmy.
It is an interesting concept that your one night stand would live in your mind and that you might get a second chance to see if anything could come of it. I enjoyed the fact that their story unfolded through flashbacks and we just got teasers about what had happened between the characters. I will say that if you enjoyed Gideon and Eva in Bared to You the characters in this novel are very complex and similar in the same ways. This is a book I will definately recommend to my friends AND HAVE ALREADY!!

Cheeky Blonde by Liz Crowe

Cheeky Blonde
Book Blurb:
Violence, intrigue, and passion are brewing in the craft beer world. When bitter rivals Jennifer Baxter and Sean Garrison meet, the notorious and handsome owner of Garrison Brothers Brewing stays true to form, seducing his rival at a national brewer’s convention.

Sean arrived at the convention expecting to get down to business, including his stated goal of hiring Jen away from Brick Street Brewery. But the beautiful fellow craft beer expert provides more of a distraction than he expected.

When sabotage strikes their fellow breweries, they unite to solve the mysteries. But fate and rumors brew more than beer as love, lust, jealousy, and misunderstanding collide in a way neither could have expected or anticipated.

Can they overcome the malicious chatter long enough to explore the emotion bubbling beneath the surface? Or will lust fall flat and leave them nothing but memories of the moment that slipped away?
Angie J's review:
I have to start this review by saying how much I liked both characters in this story.  Sometimes with stories you may find a flaw or issue with a character that you dont really care for.  I found that Jen and Sean were both very enjoyable characters.  I also need to state that per a Liz book, the sexual chemistry was off the wall crazy thick.  I have come to love the chemistry that Liz builds so when the sex does happen it is a very important to the characters and plot.  It isnt sex just for sex but to build the relationships of the characters.
In this Story Jen was a very head strong woman who knew what with her microbrewery  business.  She was very respected in her field and very savy.  Then comes along alpha male Sean who shakes up everything and spins her world around.  Of course she and he deny the sizzling chemistry that we the readers are dying from.  The book has a solid plot and keeps you wondering "who done it" when all the local competition seems to have mysteriously had some major issues.  All fingers point to Jen and so Sean is ther to help sort out whats going on.
I love the sarcasim that the characters have when they are chatting with each other and know that is a true Liz Speciality.  She has an ability to write like I talk with my friends...very off the cuff and without holding back.  I find this kind of humor hilirious but some maynot.
To end my thoughts I must say this is one of my favorite Liz books and I cant wait to read more.  There are so many options for a continuation of the series and I would definatley buy them all.

Reflected In You By Sylvia Day

Reflected in You by Sylvia DayI just finished Reflected In You by Sylvia Day and WOW, AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, REMARKABLE, BREATHTAKING, and any other synonym. This book consumed me from the start and I was unable to put it down ( well until I was made to by screaming teenagers… UGH ) I was so happy to see that it started off LITERALLY the day after Cary’s orgy party. I was worried that it wouldn’t but was PLEASENTLY surprised. I love the HEAT between Gideon and Eva it’s always so RAW and UNINHIBITED. They are truly a passionate couple. I felt all of Eva’s pains throughout this book with all the issues surrounding Corrine , HOW Eva held it together without knocking the living SH*T out of her I’ve no idea. I’d done it when she first saw her coming out of Cross Industries. I love the trust she gives Gideon. That kind of trust is RARE…. RARE…. I repeat .. RARE to find and I’m not sure I could have been that way. In my opinion she handled it ALL very well. I love that she FIGHTS for her man at the end and confronts all HIS issues for him. I also enjoyed seeing not only Corrine brought into the mix but Brett. It was interesting to see how she re-acted to seeing him after so many years. Now on to Cary. I HOPE (hint, hint SYLIVA DAY) that he get’s his HEA. He tugs at my heart and I want to see him happy however that turns out. Last but not least most certainly not least… GIDEON CROSS……I love him, I’d have his lil cross babies, he just left me saying Christian WHO? I was confused through the first part of the book not knowing or not remembering without re-reading ( I KNOW BAD BAD ANGIE) about his past if there was any details. When he FINALLY breaks down and it comes out my heart ached for him. This part was EXTREMELY painful for me to read as a sexual abuse survivor but with all books that deal with this subject I always find that I LEARN something and take something away from the scene. BACK TO GIDEON.. I love his dominant personality and his drive to keep his loved ones safe. He amazes me with his determination. He has truly showed Eva in this book to what extent he loves her and will go for her to keep her safe and his forever. *sigh* . I’m excited for the next installment of the Crossfire Trilogy. Can’t wait to see where everyone ends up and how things work out. However sad I will be to see Gideon and Eva’s story come to an end I’m sure Sylvia Day will NOT disappoint us.

Paradise Hops by Liz Crowe

Paradise Hops

A brutal attack left Lori Brockton convinced she was damaged goods. By the time she emerges from hiding two years later, ready to run her family's famous brewery, she's determined to be independent--never rely on anyone ever again. Nearly a year of working in every corner of Brockton Brewing Company, from warehouse to pub, front office to kitchen, teaches her all she needs to know about the business. Then, she comes face-to-face with masculine perfection in a suit and her world is rocked in more ways than one. Garret Hunter is the new Brockton business manager who takes one look at the beautiful, sad young woman and his entire existence coalesces around winning her heart.

But standing between Garrett and what he believes is his true love, is a six-feet six-inch blond-haired bad boy brewer.

Eli Buchannan is a craft beer rock star, recently hired by Brockton to drag the company into the 21st century. He brings innovation and attitude plus a prima donna ladies’ man reputation. But he's sworn off anything resembling commitment, personal or professional, after getting burned at his last job on both fronts.

Garret Hunter is “The Perfect Man” -- handsome, successful, stable, eager to settle down. Eli Buchannan... is not. Compelling, smoking hot, creative and elusive, he represents everything Lori Brockton should avoid. But just as she makes a difficult choice, a drastic life-changing shift occurs, and nothing is ever the same again.

My Review:

This is a fabulous Liz book. Its a story about Lori who has been traumatized and then meets Garrett. He has been hired to run the family company while she learns her way through the different aspects. Sparks fly but the hot new brew master Eli also catches her eye.

This book is amazing. I ran through every emotion I had in this book. There are 3 parts to the book and each section left me in tears. if you love Liz then this is another must read. if you are new to her writing, its a great stand alone for you get a feel for her writing style.
I will recommend this book to all of my friends.  I gave it 5 outta 5 stars.
