I received this book ARC in return for an honest review.

OMG I have been waiting for this book.  I loved the banter between Gwen and Austin in Brady's book soooooo needless to say I am excited.

Gwen has been through the wringer.  Brother Brady ditched her and left her with their not so awesome parents to then mary a not so awesome husband and live a not so amazing life.  She only has one good thing....her daughter Emma.  Well it seems Gwens ex is bent on getting her back into his life because he "loves" her..well loves to hit her that is.  She is hiding out and Brady is scared so he contacts Austin to cone and "watch" her while he is on tour with Layla.  So as you can imagine feisty Gwen is non to thrilled to have a baby sitter.  Austin is loving the fact she is annoyed and seems to love bugging her even more.  So the two are "getting along" when the stalking begins by Gwens Ex.  Austin moves the girls into his house and the whole dynamic changes.  Gwen and him are "relating to each other using their bodies" annnnnd he now is thinking of them as HIS GIRLS.  He is playing barbies with Emma and tucking her in bed...but but but Austin is a bad ass Navy Seal!!  He can't be a .......dare I say it...the D word.....a DAD!!!  GASP or a husband........

Enter into the story Gwens best friend Ellie...who we find out has some secrets of her own and is being terrorized by the ex as well.  Gwen and Ellie begin to fear the William has found them.  austin is scratching his head at the fact he thinks he loves Gwen and Gwen is left perplexed cuz she has falles for him but they cant be.  He wants the military and what woman wants to have a man leaadving all the time.  Gwen wants freedom and not to rely in anyone but herself so a relationship will not workl........

Sooo as you can tell : HOT MESS!!!  Thier is alot of chemistry and alot of mystery plus a lotta "what the heck" and "where the heck is he" through this entire book.  I am amazed this this is the author who writes in one series about sex toys and vibrator races with lollipops and sex swings.  This series she writes great mysteries and suspence with the amazing sex and humor you expect from her.  I mean Tara can write just about anything she sets her mind to IMO!!!

I received an ARC from the Author to give a truthful review. 

I have been waiting for this book since the teaser at the end of Because of You.  I loved the tantrum that Gwen threw wanting a pink gun and to have Austin say “Pink and Sparkles” in the same sentence. I knew this was going to be a good one.  I am a sucker for a strong woman in a story not a week girl that needs protecting.

Gwen can hold her own by all means.  She has had a hard life you wouldn’t know it by looking at her and her family.  Sometimes things aren’t always as they seem on the outside.  Her brother enlists the help of Austin to watch after Gwen while he is away.   Austin is a player and thinks this is going to be an easy assignment looking after Brady’s little sister.  Being the tough gal Gwen is she is having no part of Austin “babysit” her.  Gwen is reunited with her best friend, Ellie, who has a secret of her own that floors Gwen. 

The banter between Gwen and Austin is great and then add little Emma to the mix.  I love it when Austin played Navy SEAL with Emma all to keep her from making him “look pretty”.  The scene at the airport was a tearjerker for me (and that is all I’m saying about that).  Reading the scene where Austin takes Gwen to the shooting range and has her pick a gun.  I loved reading her throw her tantrum again over wanting a pink gun.

 Who would have thought that a strong willed woman and a sweet little girl would have worn down the walls to a tough Navy SEAL or a tough Navy SEAL would have made his way in to a strong willed woman and sweet little girls heart.  After all the time Austin spends with Gwen and Emma he has to decide if he wants to be with “his girls” or a SEAL.  He doesn’t see a way to have them both.

I loved the suspense that Tara has in all these books.  This one is no different.  You think you know what is going on and who is behind things and then part way through you start to second guess yourself.  You have no idea who is behind the crazy things that are going on and then when it becomes apparent who it is and why you think WOW didn’t see that one coming. So once again I will be waiting for the next one to see what kind of a ride Tara will take me on next.

ANGIE E'S 2013 YEAR END REVIEW

 So this year was a big year for me. It was crazy in all aspects of life. We (Angie J and I ) started this blog a little over a year ago. I remember her asking me and I was like HMMM well SURE. Never imagined it would grow this big. We are so grateful for all of our followers. The blog grew so fast that additions were needed and that how Twinsie Jo, Twinsie Brenda, Twinsie Melinda and Twinsie Jen became TWINSIES. They like trouble as much as Angie J and I do. Shhhhh Angie J is head trouble maker.. hahaha just kidding. LOVE HER !!!!! The friendships with these gals are great they have helped me not only through book stuff but real life situations. YOU GALS ARE GREAT !

So I started this year being being 3 months preggo. FUN FUN HUH? so you can imagine not much reading was accomplished ( I hear all those crying with me in understanding) THANK YOU. I did get to however read some AMAZING books in between all the baby books. I also got to meet some AWESOME authors and Twinsie Angie J and Twinsie Melinda =)

 

 What book signing wouldn't be complete unless Tara Sivic was groping someone. OK OK OK.... she was sweetly rubbing my belly.

Ok on the books. Like I said this year reading have been SUCKY for me. Not enough reading time with the birth of Baby Girl.  So here are a few books that I did enjoy and will DEFINTATELY re-read.

This book is so dark twisted and violent..... yet beautiful, sensual and intense.

 

 

 

 

Relentless by Cassia Leo

 

 This book was so amazingly awesome and filled with so much drama that I gushed about it for WEEKS afterwards. I totally found my girly crush love for Cassia with this book.

 

 

 

 

Reckless by SC Stephens

 

This book was the PERFECT ending to this series.

 

 

 

Falling Into You by Jasinda Wilder

 

OMGOSH ! This book was INCREDIBLE.... REMARKABLE...and literally BLEW MY M IND. Unlike Jasinda's other books. She took me on such a journey. It was amazing.

 

 

 

Lover At Last by JR Ward

 

I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK !!!!!  I waited so long and was NOT disappointed at all. To see Qhuay finally have their story and HEA was in my opinion BEST BOOK of the series

 

 

 

Because Of You by Tara Sivec

 

This book really showed Tara could do write ANYTHING. This book is special to me because well. I was mentioned in acknowledments. SHE LOVES ME.... SHE REALLY DOES... well love is such a strong word. =) Anywho.... This book like the first was a SEXY mystery till the end.

 

 

Break Me by Jo-Anna Walker

 

I got the AWESOME privaledge to BETA for Jo and meet Sebastion FIRST... For Jo's first book she done a great job. This book had so much HOTNESS it's a panty wetter.

 

 

 

 

Pieces of You by Cassia Leo

 

Another mind blowing book from Cassia. This series has me sooo hooked I was racing to finish it. I couldn't put it down. I NEEDED to finish it.  This had so many emotions wrapped up it was unbelievable

 

 

 

 

Watch Over Me by Tara Sivec

 

This book had my IFFY to read at first . Tara scared me. She's kinda scary. BUT.... I"m so glad I did. It was so emotional it drained me literally but it was worth EVERY tear I shed

 

 

 

 

 

Always Me by Jo-Anna Walker

 

Again. I LOVE Jo for letting me BETA this book. This series is awesome and gets better and better with each book. I love the TWIST this book had. Just when you THINK you had it all figured out. THINK AGAIN =)

Year in a Review by Jo-Anna Walker

This year has been such a fantastic ride for every Twinsie. One of us had a baby, one of us became an author and our Twinsie family grew and grew. When Angie SJ and Angie WE asked me to join their review blog, I instantly jumped on the chance to be a part of it and then we got so big, we needed 3 more reviewers. How amazing is that? Because of all of you, we're where we are today. So for that, thank you! To each and every one of you. You all rock our socks!

Back in May of this year, I was lucky enough to meet Angie SJ and Melinda in PERSON! It was like we hung out every constantly.

I talk to these girls every single day. I love our little tightnip family and because of them, I am where I am today as a person and as an author. Thank you my Twinsie sisters!! xx

Here are my top 10 favorite books for the last half of 2013! Do you know how hard it was to just choose 10? So here it goes.

1. I have to say that my favorite serial novel of all time is the Phoenix series by Michelle Stevens/Red Phoenix. They are just heartfelt, uplifting, heartbreaking...amazing stories all around.




2. Now number 2. This is a given since this series has my #1 book boyfriend in it. Gideon Cross. Swoon. Even the name gives me shivers. Entwined with You by Sylvia Day is one of the hottest books I have ever read!




3. Walking Disaster cause hello? It has Travis Maddox in it! #2 book boyfriend on my list of many BBF's!




4. I added these two books to my list back in the earlier months but I have to add them again. Desert Rice and Desert Flower brought me into a world I had never experienced before. It made me feel things while reading I've never felt and it made me message the author and rant and rave about how much I absolutely loved these books!!




5. Hers by Dawn Roberston. I read the blurb and was blown away! I read the book and fell in love! If you like hot, dirty, raw, real type books then this one is for you.





6. This book by far is the funniest I have ever read. I laughed so hard, I cried. Read this one for naughty dirty humor. Every time I think of it, I bust out laughing. So not cool when you're by yourself in public.




7. Okay so Angie J and Melinda and I'm not sure if any of the other twinsie's read this book but love the books by Kendall Grey. So I finally dove in and bought Strings in paperback signed and ebook. Strings by Kendall Grey is probably the dirtiest, most raw, gritty, in your face book I have ever read and I love it.




8. I've read almost 90 books this year but now that I have to choose my top ten, I can't seem to remember what I've read. Bullet was recommended to me by Angie J and I fell instantly in love. It's a long one but it's filled with so much stuff, it couldn't be written any shorter. I loved it.




9. Now I'd have to say that if you love Red Phoenix's Brie series, then you'll love the A Week with my Romanian series by Steffie Dawn. Meeting My Master (A week with my Romanian #1) has made my top ten list because it allowed me to meet a wonderful person, a wonderful author and a wonderful friend. The books are hot!




10. Epilogue by CJ Roberts...look at the cover. Need I say more?





So those are my top ten for 2013. Each book has affected me in someway or another. I can't wait for 2014 and for the awesomeness that these authors will bring us. Thank you all for your hard work and keep up the writing!! xx

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Holy ben wa balls this book was hilarious!!!   I loved the original series and have to admit was so sad when it was over.  When Tara said she was writing Gavin's book, I was thrilled.  I have to admit I wasnt sure what to expect but it totally rocked my socks off.

So this book is about Gavin who is secretly in love with Charlotte.  Charlotte is the oldest daughter of Liz and Jim who are Carter and Claire's best friends.  Gavin and his friend Tyler (OMG he is soooo freaking funny) make a list of how Gavin can get Charlotte to notice him.  The list is so insane but yet so perfect for Gavin.  I laughed soooo freaking hard during the entire book.  I loved that Gavin goes to DREW of alllll people for love advice.  I love that Claire and Liz both know that Gavin is in love with Charlotte and start planning the kid wedding before anything even happens between the two kids.  I also love the fights that both moms have over said wedding planning.

So midway through the book, the POV switches from Gavin to Charlotte.  OMG I was in heaven.  it was a riot to see everything she is doing to get Gavin's attention...including a list of her very own!!!  Charlotte decides to take matters into her own hands and man are those hands a bit too rought.....snickers...you gotta read to understand.     Seriously, If you loved the Seduction and Snacks series, this book is up there with the first book in humor.  I will defo re-read this book when I need some good laughter.

I received this book from the Author for a truthful review. 

This was great.  I love the Chocolate Lovers Series and was so sad when it came to an end.  So, excited is an understatement when I found out that I was going to be able to read about everyone again and see little Gavin all grown up.   Once again Tara did not disappoint me I was laughing out loud while reading this book.  Yes, I even laughed out loud in the break room at lunch, even had one guy say “Wow! You really get into your book must be a good one.”  

Gavin is now 25 and working for Seduction and Snacks and is in love with Jim and Liz’s daughter, Charlotte, but can’t seem to tell her because they have been friends since birth.  So, he in lists the help of his best friend, Tyler, who comes up with the Master List to get Charlotte to love him. 

It is so hard to see your kids grow up and it was the same to see Gavin a grown man.  Between the antics of Tyler (who reminded me of Drew at times), Drew (who Gavin ends up getting love advise of all things from) and Rocco (Charlotte’s boyfriend) I was laughing and giggling my way through this book.  The things Gavin and Charlotte let themselves get talked into doing are the funniest things. 

Bonus is we get to see Claire and Carter, Drew and Jenny, and Jim and Liz again.  Even though it’s been 20 + years these six have not changes.  Claire and Liz still get into knock down drag out arguments and then the next second all is well in their world.  Drew and Jenny well they are still the same sex crazy Drew and Jenny.  Jenny is still a little “special” as they say.  Carter and Jim are still the same too.

Some of my favorite lines (that don’t have spoilers):

“Gavin, I love you like a son, but right now I want to punch you in your face” ~Jim

“…I have condoms in my purse if you need them. They’re the kind with insecticide so they totally work” ~Jenny

“I think my balls just ran away in fear. Oh look there they go, right out the front door.  GOOD-BYE, BOYS!” ~ Rocco

I loved this book and didn’t want it to end. When I turned the page and saw it said Epilogue I thought NOOOO can’t be I’m not ready for this to be over I need more time to laugh plus I need to know more about these people.  I hope there are more books because I so want to read more about Charlotte’s sisters, Ava and Molly, Tyler and all the Trouble and Treats Gang.  Thank you Tara for bringing the gang and laughter back.

I received this book for an honest review and boy am I glad I did. I just love Tara and her books are freaking amazeballs! Out of everything I have read of hers, this book is my favorite by far.

From the very first chapter, I was laughing hysterically with tears rolling down my face. I was laughing so hard, I couldn't see what I was reading. Tara definitely has a way with words.

So Gavin, Claire and Carter's son, is secretly in love with Charlotte, Jim and Liz's daughter. Well Gavin and Tyler (who is freaking awesome and reminds me so much of Drew) helps him write up a list on how to get her to fall in love with him. Well don't you know that the second half of the book is in Charlotte's POV and that we learn that she's writing her very own list with her bestfriend Rocco??? Holy crap balls batman, I totally squealed when I found that out! I was fist pumping the air, yelling, "I KNEW IT!!!!" 

Rocco! Huge fan right here! He's freaking hilarious!!

AND, I also love that the whole gang is back and funnier than ever. It's nice to know that even though they've gotten older, their humor is still the same.

I love the way the book ended. I love every single word that was written in this thing. I can't wait until the next books. 

Great job as always, Tara!! If I ever meet you, I'm so humping your leg!! Love love loved this book!! I want more!!!! xx

FIRST OFF I HAVE TO SAY……. I’M SOOOOOOOOOOOO FAN GIRLY =)……….. I WAS THANKED IN THE ACKNOWLEDGMENTS !!!! OMG !!!!! FOR REAL !!!!! LIKE MY WHOLE FREAKING NAME !!!!!! I FREAKING LOVE MY HEAD HOOKER TARA SIVEC =)

I started off reading this thinking WTH? What’s going on? I was kind of confused… NOW …. It’s ok. I’m ALWAYS confused…. LOL… Tara never leaves me confused for long though. As she introduced the characters I was falling in love with them.

Brady Marshall of course … I already loved…. SHHHHHH…. don’t tell GARRET… from the first book of this series. He is dealing with his emotional scars from his past and trying to deal with them the best he can. He’s doing well until his next job with the GORGEOUS LAYLA starts .

Layla Carlysle is ….. Well … she broke my heart from the very beginning. I kept thinking AWWW how sad is that =( . She is a broken soul. Years of feeling unwanted and unloved has left her with some emotional scars. She doesn’t trust easy and is scared by how much she is trusting Brady.

This story while it doesn’t have as many twist and turns as the first in the series definitely kept my brain working on the WHO DID IT? WHOSE DOING IT? And WHY ARE THEY DOING IT ? I was immediately forming my opinions on who I thought was behind the whole STALKER thing but as any great story you change your mind several times before the BIG REVEAL. As Brady is hired to protect Layla and do some investigating, he soon realizes he mostly wants to INVESTIGATE what’s under Layla’s clothes. The chemistry between the two is SMOKING HOT. The scenes between the two leaves you breathless as if YOU need a smoke afterwards =) . As the love between them progresses Brady struggles with his feelings for Layla and trying to do the job he was hired to do.

While doing the investigating Brady discovers the secrets and answers to Layla’s past and her Mother’s involvement in it all. As always everything comes out at the end all questions answered. My only issue was being TOTALLY confused to the point I was like MIND BLOWN in a WTF moment. (no spoilers =) , but you will KNOW when you read it ) After finishing this book (and reading the SPEAK PEAK into book 3 ) YES that’s right book 3.… WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…. I CAN’T WAIT…. Ok back to THIS book. After finishing this book I will say I give it 4 stars.. ITS AWESOME…. Not that I expecting anything LESS. Tara Sivec has amazing talent when it comes to writing in this genre. CONGRATS TARA FOR YOUR SUCCESS WITH THIS SERIES…..

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I was soooooooooo excited to get this book.  I remember sitting and reading book 1 and falling in love with Garrett and Parker.  The chemistry and heat was AMAZING!!!!  So needless to say the anticipation for this book was very very high.  I loved Brady in book 1 and was excited to see him get his ass kicked by love like Garrett.

The story was kinda of slow to get started but since we didnt' know Brady/Layla and their lives, I was happy to "buckle in for the ride."  Basically Layla has a freaky stalker and Brady is hired by her mom-ager to find out who it is. Finn is Layla's bestie from back in the day.  He is also who everything thinks is her "bed buddie" which is sooooo far from the truth...........

The story pretty much is chugging along with fingers pointing here and there at who is helping the stalker and making you wonder why they want to hurt Layla.  Brady is fighting the growing attraction but fears letting another client down since he has had bad luck in his life with protecting loved ones.  Layla is laying her soul bare for Brady and can't believe she has let her guard down becasue noone sees the REAL Layla.


The chemistry these two share was a pretty nice sizzle but not an epic sizzling skillet.  I loved when Layla is bitching to Finn about what an ass Brady is and Finn says "so you pretty much want to do him right?" ...I had to giggle because I was sooo thinking that.

The ending of the novel is when all the real action happens.  You find out the who and why of the stalking...plus some pretty CRAY CRAY facts about people in the novel.  I will admit to being a little confused at the ending because the books made me think that something bad had happened but it turns out it didnt....????  I was cracking up at the sneak peep into book 2...it looks like it is going to be hilarious!!!!!

I absolutely loved this book! I chose to read it cause well, the author rules and I loved the first book, so it was a given that I would read the second one. I really like how this series is going and I hope it is a series.

Tara does it again with action, humor, love and of course, HOT SEX!

I just love Brady and Layla. They are good for each other.

Layla is a musical star and has a super creepy and disturbing stalker problem so Brady's job is to protect her. Once Brady gets through her walls, chemistry and love blossoms and it's...*swoon* so romantic.

“I’ve wanted to bury myself inside of you since the first moment you and your attitude walked into the room.”

Holy crap balls batman is Brady ever hot. The things he said to Layla...wow. *fans self*

Also, super creepy stalker guy/moment made me freak out at work. Through the whole book, there was something off about a certain character and once you find out that a certain someone has something to do with the stalker issue, I very loudly yelled, "I KNEW IT!!!!" My poor co-workers.

Anyways, I LOVED THIS BOOK AND CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!!! <---- Definitely deserved shouty capitals.
