William knows exactly what he wants. He saw what his
parents had and he plans to have that kind of love for himself. He just has to
convince Aubrey she’s perfect for him. He attempts to take it slowly, cautious
of her weariness and his own preoccupations. Then he bargains, persuades and
seduces until Aubrey agrees to be his. That’s where the rest of his life
begins…
… even while another part of his life begins to crumble.
He finds the foundation of his own family rocked. With William’s future not in
his control anymore, he needs Aubrey as much as she needs him. There’s solace
in knowing you don’t have to go through life’s heartache alone.

“My sweet Aubrey, I’ll show you heights you haven’t even
imagined. Just as you’ll give me everything I need, you’ll be everything I
need.”
I truly believed that. Never before had another woman
captivated me. There’d been many partners at the clubs where I curbed my darker
sexual desires. Never had there been someone I wanted more with. More was never
on the agenda. I wanted what I saw my parents share–that type of connection-and
I refused to settle for less. The trouble was I didn’t know how to get it. Then
I saw Aubrey in her little coffee shop and for the first time, I knew I’d found
someone to be my more. She touched my heart–her eyes seeing straight through
me-from the first moment I saw her.
I felt this hold she had on me. I can’t begin in words to
explain it. She simply ensnared me. I was confident I could provide her
everything she needed to blossom. I was equally certain she could fill those
places that felt vacant inside me. Now, when her eyes cast upward to meet my
gaze after I’d proclaimed this very thought and she nodded, I knew I hadn’t
been wrong.
“You are perfection.” The words slipped from my lips,
pushed right past my rock solid resolve. Then I answered every question she had
before moving us into my living room. It was time for her to get used to my
touch.
I got this book from the author for an honest review.
First I must begin this review with a SCREAM to the author....Shaking my fist....I yell..".PALOMA!!! You can't leave me hanging like this!!!!".....
Ok now with the review.....So I fell head over heals with William when I read the first book in this series. He is a Dominant who knows what he wants and he wants Aubrey. The first book of the series is all Aubrey's POV. We learn why she is so insecure and how William helps to get her over it. This book is Williams POV. We see him grow more and more in love with Aubrey as she grows more and more confident in herself. There is overlap between the books but I loved it. I remembered the scenes and where Aubrey's head was so it is cool to see William's take on everything.
This book does take you out past book one to see William and Aubrey finally admitting their love for each other. I will admit to tears at that point. We, the reader, knows how they feel but to finally see it.....priceless.......
William finally gets to take his little elf home to meet his parents..... No shock that they adore her!! She also is supportive of everything he is dealing with in terms of his mother...sniff sniff......I was glad when William got to finally talk to Aubrey's parent to see how AWFUL they are in regards to her.
I was so happy with the way this book was moving and grooving that when the last few pages are read I had to back track and re-read to make sure I read it right. I was GASPING at this cliffhanger....I didn't see it coming and I will tell you that I cannot wait to see what the heck happens!!!

ReplyDeleteBook three *Heal My Soul* is scheduled for release on April 1, 2014!
while I think more often than not it's "like" or "lust" at first sight, I think love at first sight can happen sometimes, rarely, but then I believe there's many types and levels of love
ReplyDeleteI do! It can happen! It didn't happen to me but I sure wish it did!
