Angie J's review:
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
*Sniff sniff* The series is over. *wipes a tear and blows my nose* I fell in love with this series when Sawyer asked us to read and review for her. I have to say I have loved each installment for a variety of reasons but the ending is bitter sweet.
So this book is about Flynn who is destroyed when his love dies in a fire. He develops a hero complex, tried to save everyone and becomes a fireman all due to that situation. He meets Rowan while putting out a house fire. he goes to help her but finds her handcuffed and drugged to a bed. Well this intrigues him. he visits her at the hospital and is even more interested in this sassy woman. He offers to help her find her dog and then offers her room and board.
Rowan doesn't trust ANYONE!!! she has leaned thast life is unkind and has managed the past 5 years on her own. She will not accept kindness willingly. But Flynn and her manage a friendship. Along the way, a few stolen kisses between the two and Flynn is dying to "date" her but Rowan is so scared. Flynn is her best friend and she is so scared to loose him WHEN he figures out she isn't good enough for him.
I will say I was getting ANNOYED with Rowan and was GLAD when Flynn started to date Jennifer, as much as I didn't like her. It was a bit much and the stagnate "i cant move forward with you like that Flynn" from Rowan made me MENTAL!!! when she finally went all in, I was thrilled!!! The couple have some mega bumps but the firehouse scene at the end was awesome as was the epilogue. It defo gave let you see everyone's HEA's for the series.

I enjoyed this book. It is the last book of the series *sighs*. What’s not to like about this book a firefighter with a hero complex and is determined to help everyone, then you have the girl who has secrets and seems like needs saving.
This starts with Finn who loses the love of his life in a house fire. This is where he gets his hero complex and drives him to become a firefighter. Finn finds Rowan drugged and chained to a bed when they are putting out a house fire. Finn’s hero complex kicks in and he thinks he needs to save her in more than one way. Finn convinces her to let him help her find her dog that got away after the fire. Once he is able to locate the dog he has her move in with him. Rowan just cannot seem to trust anyone, because of everything that has happened in her past. However, Rowan is so afraid to admit her feeling for Finn. Finn is patients only last so long being placed in the “friend” category and finally begins to date. You will have to get the book and see for yourself if Rowan and Finn can overcome this or if it becomes too much for Finn decides to move on.
I loved all the things that Finn did for Rowan and that his family welcomed her with open arms. I wanted to reach through my e-reader and shake Rowan so many times it’s not even funny. I was getting so aggravated at her for throwing up road blocks every time Finn tried to help her out. I was glad when she finally caved and let Finn talk her into a job…here again not saying what it was or who it was working with.
I loved how this book wrapped everything up. I am a sucker for Epilogue and this one was good we got a glimpse into all the characters life and where they were possible going.
