Together in Starlight (Starlight Series Book 2) by Susan Mac Nicol

Together in Starlight (Starlight series Book 2)

Book Blurb:

Bennett Saville is sexy. At the height of his career, the English star of stage and screen is everything a woman might desire, as fiancée Cassandra Wallace well knows. They’ve seen the world together, from L.A. to Shangri La. Yet shadows persist, even in the spotlight. At home they face lust, greed, and ghosts from their pasts—and that’s offstage. There is also “The Val”. Bennett’s aged London theatre holds a mystery four centuries old, cast in starlight, waiting to be shown. Intensely personal, impossibly passionate, that play must go on…and Cassie and Bennett must see it through together.

Angie J's Review:

I received this book by the author for a truthful review of the novel.

OMG this book was sooo good.  There was ALOT of side plots and story lines so I hope I can remember them all.  In case you haven't read my review of the first book Cassandra by Starlight Click here for the review .

So in this novel we find Bennett and Cassie happy and loving being engaged.  They are in no rush and are waiting for their friends Ian and Gabby to get married first.  The couple are inundated with drama and problems.  I mean if you thought they were unlucky in book one....WRONG!!!  The plots of John the pain in the butt movie producer who get Bennett in trouble, Bennett's old friend Mickey showing up out of the blue who I feel will make an appearance in the last book, Bella and her new boy toy, the haunted theater and Emily's stalking by her ex husband.  However the side plot that I "liked" was Cassie's ex Martin showing up.  I love seeing Bennett so protective of Cassie.  You know that these two people LOVE each other with all their hearts but too see how they try and protect one another is amazing.  Too see Cassie hiding the blackmailing from Bennett and then to see him figure it out and get the police to rescue her from her blackmailer.  It just goes to show the strong bond they have.  of Cassie doesn't realize how crazy in love Bennett is over her by now.....I will need to shake her.

This love story is very appealing because Bennett and Cassie can read each other sooo very well.  In the first book, there was alot of people trying to tear them apart.  In this book it is very clear to people that they will not be broken even thought some certain neighbors may try......Cassie finally grows to realize Bennett is HERS and he is not leaving.  Bennett also finally gets Cassie to realize even though he was a bit of a man whore before he met her, he is quite happy with what THEY have now.  I think this book shows the growth in their relationship.  I am sooo looking forward to book 3 because I want a Bennett and Cassie Wedding...very very badly!!!

 About the Author:

twitter username

I live in the UK near London with my husband and two grown up children. I think my Twitter profile probably says enough about me to give you an idea who I am.

‘Author of contemporary romance novels, wannabe scripts, independent, pain in the bum, humorous, driven, prone to strong opinion.’

I’ll leave off the last bit of my profile. It relates to a fascination I have with a certain young British actor called Benedict Cumberbatch who was the inspiration for my leading man, Bennett Saville, in my Starlight trilogy.

I was born in the UK, moved to Johannesburg, South Africa 42 years ago, and of that I’ve been back in the UK for twelve, loving every minute.

Some of the highlights of my life – apart from getting married, having kids and moving countries - I’ve been picked up by a punter who thought I was a prostitute (there is a proper story behind this, I promise) , been involved in a car smash much like the heroine, Cassie, in Cassandra by Starlight, (only not as a result of a falling body on my car!), become a Wiccan, spent time in Kenya, where my older sister was born, and had a dream of being published recognised with my debut novel.

I know have four books published with Boroughs with another three full length novels on the way. I have recently finished my latest MS, a psychological detective thriller, called 'Born Human' and next to be written is a contemporary M/M romance suspense called Carrington Nights. I just love this genre...

  1. Thanks for such lovely words, Angie. I'm very glad you enjoyed book 2 and I promise Book 3 is already with my editor. (With 3 other full length ones I have to say including a rather spicy S and M one and a double book paranormal romance suspense...so more reading for you!)

Book 3 - I don't think I'm giving away spoilers when I say there is a wedding in the works (Yay!) as it's on my website as the next HEA. But it's one with a difference I can tell you. Nothing normal for these guys. Thanks for reviewing both of my first two Starlight series books. It's very appreciated!
