Ok I must first say SQUEEEEEE I got this book as an ARC and I am thrilled. I am a huge fan of the series and so I was excited to have the flu and stay in bed to read!!! Only a die hard reader would admit that right??? I found the breed series a few years ago and must say it is still one of the top series. I always find comfort re-reading about my warriors. I will say after the last book, Chase's book, I was worried about how Ms. Adrian would handle the big changes she made to the world of this series. I was breathless with anticipation. I can tell you that she has revamped *snickers, I said vamped* this series even more amazing IF that is possible. She has re-invented the series. She had made the bad guys even worse than before. She has kept the great HEA plots riveting and emotional so to me this series can definitely stand the test of time.
Ok so here is the low down....Mira is totally in love with Kellan but he dies...Mira is a sad, hurt, women without the male she wanted as her mate. Well guess what friends, Kellan isn't dead but he has become a rebel. Their paths cross again and well sparks fly. The rest you will just have to read and find out what happened. Trust me when I say my favorite scene is the HOT HOT HOT shower scene. Holy hells bells that was a good one.
I know that some of my friend didn't like the way the last book ended but I say give this a try. Ms. Adrian has done an amazing job re-envisioning her breed world. She has jumped forward 20 years but you still get to know what has happened and what is happening. I think this book took a little bit of character building because we are meeting a lot of new warriors (MMMMM RAFE, the son of Dante who is my favorite warrior, seems delicious just like daddy and I certainly cant wait for his book too!!) but we still get to see our favorite older warriors. In a nutshell I will definitely recommend this series and book to my friends.
