Can she save Ethan and their relationship before he implodes, or will he self-destruct and take her with him?

Jo-Anna's Review:

Ok so the reason I chose to read this book is cause Angie J could not stop going on about it. The wonderful things she said about it made me pretty much drop everything I was reading to read this book. Unfortunately, it took me a little longer to read it then I would have liked. Not because of the book but because RL likes to get in the way sometimes.

So, my review. First off, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Secondly, I'm a HUGE fan of heavy metal so I knew all the bands that were mentioned in this book which was SUPER awesome!!

This book takes you through the life of Val. She's awesome. Just pointing that out there. She's a good girl who comes from a religious family and has a love for heavy metal music. Once she has sex for the first time, an animal is unleashed. One thing I loved is that I could relate to Val in a lot of ways.

For the boys, oh dear. Where do I start and I hope I don't forget anyone. Ethan is a dou
che but hot, Brad is just hot, Nick is quite, Zane is sexy and Clay/Jet...oh dear me oh my. When Jet comes out to play...HOLY BALLS BATMAN. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE JET!!!!!! Wow...the things he said? Wow...swoon. HOT!!

And for the ending! I was floored. I wasn't expecting it. I loved it!!!!

I can not wait to read more about these boys!!! I need me some more Jet in my life!!!

Author Bio:

Jade C. Jamison was born and raised in Colorado and has decided she likes it enough to stay forever. Jade's day job is teaching Creative Writing, but teaching doesn't stop her from doing a little writing herself.

Unfortunately, there's no one genre that quite fits her writing. Her work has been labeled romance, erotica, suspense, and women's fiction, and the latter is probably the safest and closest description. But you'll see that her writing doesn't quite fit any of those genres.

You'll have to discover Jade's writing for yourself to decide if you like it.

Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire

Book Blurb:

Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder.
In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. But just when he thinks he is invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees.
Every story has two sides. In Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it’s time to see the story through Travis’s eyes.

Jo-Anna's Review:

After reading Beautiful Disaster, I fell in love with Travis Maddox. He is my #1 book boyfriend. I just love him and when I found out that a book was going to be released in his POV, I of course had to buy it and read it.

First thing, I love Jamie McGuire. She's a fantastic writer and I look forward to future stories from her.

I was excited to read about Travis and Abby's story in his POV. It kind of gives you a fresh perspective because guys think way differently then women.

Now, as a whole, I loved this book but I could be biased. I gave it a 5 star rating just for the simple fact that it's...well, hello, it's Travis Maddox.

I was a little disappointed that you don't get to hear about him seeing Abby for the first time. You just get brief snip-its. I also was shocked that you didn't see his POV when she got attacked by that douche during the one fight. AND you don't see the wedding. Those are the only things though. Other then that, I loved the book.

Some of the scene's in his POV, while reading, I was like, wow, I had no idea he reacted that way. When Travis got mad, WOW, watch out.

I really hope Jamie writes more in the other brother's POV. I really want to hear the stories about the other Maddox boys.

Runes Blurb:

Seventeen-year-old Raine Cooper has enough on her plate dealing with her father’s disappearance, her mother’s erratic behavior and the possibility of her boyfriend relocating. The last thing she needs is Torin St. James—a mysterious new neighbor with a wicked smile and uncanny way of reading her.

Raine is drawn to Torin’s dark sexiness against her better judgment, until he saves her life with weird marks and she realizes he is different. But by healing her, Torin changes something inside Raine. Now she can’t stop thinking about him. Half the time, she’s not sure whether to fall into his arms or run.

Scared, she sets out to find out what Torin is. But the closer she gets to the truth the more she uncovers something sinister about Torin. What Torin is goes back to an ancient mythology and Raine is somehow part of it. Not only are she and her friends in danger, she must choose a side, but the wrong choice will cost Raine her life.

GIVEAWAY and Review of Safeword LLC Book 1- The First Order by Peyton Elizabeth

The First Order (MFM)

Book Blurb:

[Siren Sensations: Erotic Consensual BDSM Ménage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, public exhibition, flogging, spanking, sex toys, HEA]

Becca Schuler has always fantasized about bondage, but does that really make her depraved? According to an ex-boyfriend, it does.

After losing her job, and with no way to pay her rent, Becca hits a local bar to drown her sorrows. The last thing she expects is to meet a mysterious woman who assures that she can make Becca’s dream a reality. Is there really a company called Safeword LLC that places submissive women with dominant men per their preferences on a simple application?
Knowing she has nothing to lose, Becca fills out the form on www.safewordllc.com. Her placement lands her in the sensual and strict hands of Lane and Ross Ellison, who train her to be their ideal submissive. But when Becca’s fear of not being perfect weaves its way into their lives, she sets out to be just that and unknowingly risks losing it all.
Note: There is no sexual relationship or touching for titillation between or among siblings.
A Siren Erotic Romance

ADULT EXCERPT because we know you like it naughty!!!!

Ross gently released her breasts and brought his warm hands down to her cool stomach. It wasn’t as flat as Becca would have wanted it, and she mentally cringed at what she would say if he asked her to describe her abdomen. She wasn’t good at this game and wanted it over with, yet she’d never felt so aroused. It was if her body had awakened from a long winter’s sleep. How had Ms. Van Camp known this was what Becca had needed?
“Please describe where my hands are, Rebecca.”
“Oh, my stomach, Sir.”
“That’s all you have to say?”
“I–I’m not happy with that part of me, Sir.”
“Then let’s change your view, shall we? I see porcelain skin that is soft to the touch while the slight swell speaks of your fertile health.” Ross stroked his thumb across her lower abdomen, which caused her muscles to contract as well as her pussy. “Your voluptuous curves lead into what an artist would see as perfection, lightly etching your lines to catch the blossoming of your hips. The only thing their artwork lacks is the ability to capture the grace with which you tilt them as you walk, framing your flower between them.”
Becca watched as his hands dipped farther down, suspended right above her bare pussy. Her clit was enflamed, glowing a bright pink, and had been overly sensitive since she’d left the spa. The dampness growing inside her thighs was becoming alarming. If air could cause such a fiery reaction, Becca wasn’t sure she’d be able to cope with Ross’s touch. She was finding it hard not to lean back against his broad chest for support. Ross pulled his hands away and stepped back. She nearly collapsed in frustration.
“Place your fingers inside your folds, Rebecca. Pull them apart and show me your pussy.”
Becca had to lock her knees in place. Ross had stood behind her with his mouth close to her ear as he described parts of her body that she never would have considered erogenous. After listening to his words and seeing and feeling her body respond to him, Becca was on the verge of accepting his portrayal of her sensuality. But now, seeing her bare mound and being instructed to expose her pussy, Becca felt her vulnerability return in waves. In her mind, there wasn’t anything pretty about her pussy.
Not wanting Ross to think she was hesitating, Becca slowly brought her hands around and slid an index finger into each fold. Much to her surprise, her newly waxed skin felt like slippery velvet.
“Pull up and expose yourself to me.”
Becca was surprised when her hands didn’t slip and she was able to separate her folds, exposing her engorged clit and drenched labia. Her juices flowed as if he had turned on a faucet. She would have been red with embarrassment at her condition if it weren’t for the state of flushed excitement she was now in. She kept her eyes glued to her pussy, not wanting to give Ross a reason to add to her earlier punishment. How was Ross going to describe what she was displaying as anything other than what it was? Becca had reservations that he would be able to do so without her fainting dead away.
“You are easy to read, my dear Rebecca.”
Ross walked around her, coming to stand in front of the mirror. He was blocking her view and Becca hesitated on where to look. Ross took the decision away from her when he slowly bent to one knee—directly in front of her bare pussy. He shifted so that she maintained her view. She was both mortified and set afire when he inhaled deeply.
“Your smell is intoxicating. Moisture is flowing down your inner thighs and glistening like a beam of light shining down from a streetlight on a puddle gracing an empty street. Do you know what that tells me? It divulges your arousal at being put on display. Lane and I look forward to presenting you at the club among other places. A friend of ours is very good with rope. Maybe we should ask him to slip some twine in between your folds, similar to how you have your fingers, and make sure your pussy is open for viewing. I’d be profoundly honored to say that your cunt belongs to us both. Do you see what I see? Your pussy is open, revealing satiny pink skin and a flaming red clit that’s throbbing with the beat of your heart. Do you feel your clit pulsating?”
Becca felt her pulse in her ears just like she did when she was about to have an orgasm, but couldn’t quite reach that point of release. If only Ross would touch her—just one touch would bring her the explosion she desperately sought. Becca couldn’t hold back the whimper of utter conquest that escaped her throat. Ross had done nothing but run his finger down her arm and express his appreciation for her body and he’d somehow taken her beyond anything she’d ever sexually experienced.
“Do you now see what I see, Becca?”
The heat of her name coming from his lips soaked into her skin. Yes, Becca saw herself as he pronounced—a sensual, beautiful woman. More importantly, she felt it. A sense of confidence washed over her, as if they had consummated their connection. She felt cherished.
“Yes, Sir,” Becca whispered.
“A man could get used to coming home this.”
Becca couldn’t hold back her cry of surprise at hearing Lane’s voice from across the room.

Angie J's 4 Star Wet Panties Review:

OK SO I met this amazing author and kinda fell in love with her sweet personality and fun, sassy side.  I was the lucky winner of her basket at the Romancing the Plaza signing I went to in Kansas City, MO.   After chatting with her, I knew I had to finish what I was reading and dive into her BDSM book...peps I was reading YA before this book so talk about 360 in reading directions...LOL

Where do I even begin?  I loved the concept of this novel for starters.  I think it is a cool idea that there is a "secret" business that can match up a submissive (either novice or experienced) with dominates....plural as in menage baby!!!  So here is the low down,  Becca is outta work and her boyfriend says she is a freak for wanting to be tied up and spanked.  Well Kennedy (the woman who runs Safeword) overhears her convo and gives her a business card.  Becca goes on line and submits an application.  She shows up for her interview not knowing that brothers Ross and Lane are watching.  They see Becca as PERFECT!!!  She has zero training and they are so excited to work with her.  Now Lane is kinda the uptight of the 2 brothers where as Ross is care free.  I definitely was attracted to Ross at first but once Lane let his fears be known I warmed toward him totally.

Becca is a typical woman who is soooo not happy with her body.  She isn't model skinny and has curves a plenty. The guys love it about her but her insecurities defo cause her some troubles.   I think the men do their best to reassure her but typical woman, she still hates on her body image.  So throughout this novel Becca gets into "trouble" and the men are there to "train" he to be their perfect sub.  When the relationship seems to be working in the right and positive way Lane is a jackass and screws things up.  Good think Kennedy isn't afraid to yell at the dominate to make him do everything to get Becca back.

I have to say I enjoyed the way the author wrote the story.  She would set up a scene and then the chapter would end and it would be hours later.  Becca would then flashback to the scene that was being built up.  I enjoyed this because you can get to the meat of a situation that way.  Anyway that is just my 2 cents.

Well I was messaging the author to say "SQUEE  I finished" which was quickly followed by "Who is next?"  There is a bit of a set up and I was glad I was correct.  The author told me that the next book is due out May 31st but pre-orders will be around the 20th.

Don't Hate the Player...Hate the Game by Katie Ashley

Don't Hate the Player...Hate the Game

Book Blurb:

For Noah Sullivan being the best friend to a douchebag and player like Jake Nelson has never been easy. It's been a rocky road since kindergarten when Jake duct taped Noah to his chair before recess. With just six weeks to high school graduation, Jake accidentally blows his drunken ass up on his grandfather's tractor, and Noah finds himself immersed not only in a whirlwind of grief, but on a quest to find a mystery girl from Jake's past.

While cleaning out Jake's room, Noah and Jake's dad make a startling discovery. Instead of the obligatory porn collection or pot stash, they find a ring, but not just any ring. Its half a carat of commitment in a platinum setting-proving even man whores have taste. After Jake's mom pleads with Noah to find the girl who meant so much to Jake, Noah begins a modern day Grail quest to track the girl down.

Since Jake was a notorious player with a legendary collection of trophy panties, Noah finds himself in over his head. There are the usual suspects like Avery, the Ice Princess Jake dated for appearances, or Presley, the school mattress Jake dated for convenience. But the trail begins to point to the most unlikely of suspects: Maddie, the Valedictorian and choir girl who was trying to help the unmotivated jock graduate--the girl who also has surprisingly caught Noah's eye and meddled with his heart.

Hanging out with Maddie shows Noah a different side of Jake--one that was deeply human and surprisingly douche-free. And the more he tries to solve the mystery of the ring and of Jake, the more Noah starts to discover about himself and of love.

Angie J's 4.5 star review:

I got this book because I have loved everything that I have read by this author.  I was intrigued to read a sweet YA because people I don't generally do YA.....sorry SMUT /Paranormal/rock star/ bad boy biker addict here :)  I am sooo glad I did.  I loved this book for the complexity of it.  I mean the way the book starts it seems very "traditional" and reminds me of high school.  The high school jocks who bang the girls.  The prom queens.....The school sluts....The artsy kids who are popular....the nerd...etc.  Seriously you sooo remember someone from high school who fit this mold.  Well Jake was the popular Douche who screwed a different girl a night and even charmed a few girls into cashing in their V cards.  Noah is his best friend since Kindergarten.  Noah is a party guy but also responsible.  Jake on the other hand...not so responsible or is he?  So the book starts with Jake getting killed and Noah (after being told to by Jake's mom) is to find the girl Jake wanted to MARRY!!!!  YES Jake the DB had fallen in love and wanted to change his life around for THIS mystery girl.

Noah is totally blow away after talking to the preachers daughter Maddie about Jake.  Jake did mission trips?  Jake helped care for Maddie's sick little brother...this leaves Noah Scratching his head.  He has a clue as to find "the mystery" girl and when he does discover who it he, he is sad.  He has fallen for the girl and doesn't want to tell her "hey my DB buddy loved you and he wanted to give you thing ring buuuut he is dead so can I have ya???"

So i told you this novel was traditional right?   Well man was there a curve ball thrown in there about Jake and his intentions.  I. WAS. FLOORED!!!  I guess a leopard CAN change their spots.  There is a side story about Noah and his mom and dad that helped Noah put things in perspective for sure.  I think the epilogue was great and I loved what Noah's girl...yes he gets the girl.....has planned for them :)  WHAT YOU DIDN'T THINK HE WOULD!!!! ?????

AUTHOR GUEST POST-C.A. Szarek

Reflections of an RT Virgin.
Recently I attended Romantic Times annual reader/author convention that was held at the Crowne Plaza Sheraton in Kansas City, MO. This was my first time attending as an author. In 2012, I went for the weekend as a reader, and it was immense fun! I even got to meet my bestie, Jo-Anna for the first time in person! (we met originally on FB).

Attending as an author for the full convention this year was awesome! Even better, Jo came again with her sister, Shawna, and I also got to meet Angie J and Melinda, two other friends from FB! It was so much fun!!!!!!!

I learned so much at RT! I did many workshops regarding the craft of writing, strategies on how to accomplish more as a writer, and even fun interactions with readers!
I would recommend that any authors, aspiring or published, attend a conference or convention like RT.
The information is INVALUABLE!
I would say that the MOST helpful thing I did was an all day plotting class with best-selling author, Cherry Adair!  She is so much fun, as much as she is a FANTASTIC teacher! Funny, and an all-around fabulous person!

Cherry is a very organize plotter, so I took her class with the hopes I could learn her process and actually plot. Traditionally, I have always been a pantser, as in I write by the seat of my pants. Most of the time, I just sit down and write. Sometimes I know what will happen in the scene, but there are a lot of times I just go with the flow and see what I come up with.
But as you continue to move forward in this field, career, as you will, it becomes harder and harder to meet deadlines without planning books. So, I am trying to change my whimsical ways!
I learned sooooo much from spending the day with Cherry! She plots on a board. Every element of the story is represented by a different color sticky note, and they go on the board.
The idea is to start with the danger (orange) (I write Romantic Suspense, and so does Cherry, but this is not to say this can’t work with any genre) and work backwards, applying them to the board in the appropriate chapters. Then you do the villain and his henchmen (purple), also plotting backwards through the story on the board.
Hopefully you know the story well enough where you write all info on the post-it notes before you place them on the board.
For pantsers like me, this involves a lot of thinking!
The rest of the story is plotted forward, using the appropriate colors. Hero is blue, his backstory light blue. Heroine is pink, her backstory pale pink. Locations are green. Fuchia is my favorite part, the SEX!
And the most important post-it is the WHITE one, which is the “What’s the Point of the Scene” post-it. ALWAYS ask yourself this BEFORE you write.
Tough, I know, when you don’t plot.
I can’t say I will be a Cherry star pupil, but I will try. And I did learn.  If you want more info on the system, please email me. (My email is below in where to find me).
Here’s my plotting board for my WIP, Chance Collision (Crossing Forces Book Two):

Hopefully writing the book will be easy. As you can see, I didn’t finish the plotting process but I did enough to know where the book is going. Just need to work hard, like always!
I am currently in working Chapter 8, so we’ll see how I am able to continue!
This was the 30th Anniversary for RT and many pioneers of the Romance Genre, the GREATS, were there! I got to meet JULIE GARWOOD! Talk about a fangirl moment! She’s always been one of my faves and she was so sweet. Awesome and approachable! I loved talking to her!

I met some fantastic authors and readers at RT as well as got in touch with old friends. I did two signings, and got to share MY book with the world! RT was such a positive experience. I love conventions, conferences and writing. I love smoozing in the writing and reading world and wouldn’t trade it for anything!
          See you next year, everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
