Book Blurb:

Jeffery Young is tired of women and their games. His son’s mother did enough damage to his heart to last a lifetime. Now, he had to deal with the architect helping the land developers tear up the local ranches for their houses. Not on his watch. Terri Kennedy had her own plans. As the architect for a large land development in Bandera Texas, the deal would put her business on the map, but dealing with the stubborn, bullheaded male from the local ranch didn’t come with her job description. Maybe staying on their guest ranch would give her some clues as how to handle Mr. Stubborn Jackass. Will the secrets she’s harboring keep him from getting close? Can he learn to trust women again or should be play the game to find out what’s she’s up to?

With a touch of his hand, the light in the bathroom flipped on. One thing he did enjoy in life was a hot shower. Tonight he certainly needed it. He wrenched his shoulder this morning fighting with a particularly ornery calf who didn’t want to come out of the brush even when its mama called to it. Some days he really hated his job, but most of the time he loved being a cowboy. Not like he’d known anything else in his life. Cowboying was in his DNA. He couldn’t see his life any other way.
He quickly stripped out of his clothes and turned on the hot water. One thing he’d insisted on when his parents helped him build his house was a top of the line bathroom. The shower had tile from top to bottom along with a large rain showerhead.
With a weary sigh, he climbed in and shut the door. Hot water streamed down on his head as he closed his eyes. God, that feels good. He worked his shoulder under the heat of the water to try to loosen it up. He hoped it didn’t stiffen up tonight while he slept, but he figured it would. Some liniment might help.
While he washed the dirt of the day from his body, his mind wandered to baser thoughts. It’d been several months since he’d been with a woman and even though he didn’t need the headaches of a female in his life, he still had the needs of a man.
Maybe it’s time to hook up with someone. I could do a bar run into San Antonio and probably pick up some chick there who wouldn’t know who I am.
Terri Kennedy’s green eyes popped into his head. She did have pretty eyes behind those wire rimmed glasses from what he could see.
He rubbed the soap over his cock and balls, losing himself in the feel of his hand over his flesh.
Would she be good in bed? How would she look with all of her blonde hair spilling over his abdomen while she sucked him off?
His eyes popped open. “Wow. Her?”
What the hell. He shrugged and closed his eyes again. She’s pretty enough.
With his cock wrapped in his fist, he imagined her sucking the whole shaft between her lips. Each suck, each lick brought his desire higher. Her beautiful green eyes sparkled with lust as she sat between his thighs bringing him the best pleasure he’d had in a hell of a long time. Moments later, cum sprayed over his hand as he came so hard, he saw stars.
He slumped against the wall of the shower as he tried to catch his breath. It’d been a long damned time since he’d exploded like a sixteen-year-old kid with his first fuck. After he shook his head to clear his thoughts, he stood back under the water to wash the cum from his body. Wow. That was pretty intense.

Angie J's Review:

I received this book  ARC from the author.

When Sandy offered me a copy of this book I ran all around the house clapping and SQUEEE'ing everywhere.  Her books are always hot and emotional.  I read Joel's book and fell in love with grumpy, heart broken, older brother Jeff.  I was excited when I found out his book was next.  When Sandy told me who his HEA was I was giddy.

So the back story on poor Jeff is he fell in love with a tramp of a woman who hit on alllll his brothers before getting him all wrapped.  Well, Jeff fell in love with her, married her and then found her 2 nights later with another man.  Yup ladies she left her hottie cowboy husband on her wedding night to go celebrate "marrying the gold mine" in Jeff.  Well they managed to have sex to produce a sweet little mini-Jeff named Ben.  Ben is Jeff's whole world and it shows.  He has custody and is only concerned with the ranch and Ben.  Everything else isn't important ESPECIALLY a good for nothing, lying, whoring woman!!  Uhm.....incase you didn't, notice Jeff is very bitter and broken over he ex-wife.

The book starts with Jeff stumbling across Terri and George surveying the land her employer has purchased.  He politely cusses them off his land but he can't stop thinking about Terri alll night  Can I saw he has some very hawt dreams of Terri!!!!.  As you can imagine, he is not thrilled to find himself thinking longingly of the enemy!!  Terri is also not sure why but she keeps thinking back to the jerk at the ranch.  Well, she decides to get information for her employer, she will stay at the ranch Jeff's family runs.......clapping at what happens......Well as much as Terri tries, she can't avoid Jeff.    The 2 begin to spend a little bit of time together.  Her to "get information" and him to "keep an eye on her". Well a little horse ride turns into "sexy time" in the natural spring....giggles....I loved that every time Terri and Jeff have "sexy time" one of his brothers always finds them.....snickers.....Well when there are 9 kids in the Young family it isn't like you can get a lot of alone time.

Well the plot is full of ex-wife drama, Terri unsure of her employers true intentions, Jeff pushing her away and pulling her close.  The ending chapters of the story were awesome.  A lot of story resolution and Terri/Jeff coming to terms with their feelings for each other.  I love that Nina (Jeff's mom) is there to kick the boys butts in gear and help them SEE what is right in front of them.  The epilogue was great.  I loved how each of the characters needs and desires are addressed.

To win an ecopy of the book, leave a comment below and tell us what about a cowboy you find sexy???  Include your email address please and preferred format incase you are the winner!!!  We will pick a winner with Random.org on 9-6-2013.  Good Luck!!!

  2. Love Sandy's books! Is there ANYTHING about a cowboy that's NOT sexy? *sigh* To me, everything about a cowboy is sexy! From those tight wrangler jeans showcasing that fine ass, molding those muscular thighs on down to cover those scuffed up boots! Of course the cowboy hat...*double sigh*, but, probably the sexiest thing...his manners and protectiveness of his woman! *gazillion sighs* Damn, I want a cowboy! Great blog! Thanks for the chance to learn about one of my favorite authors!

  4. Congrats on the new release. This book sounds fantastic. Can't wait to read it.
Is there anything about a cowboy that's not hot and sexy? I don't think so. How about the way he wears his jeans, the way he walks, and the way he treats his animals.
Thanks for the great excerpt, review, and giveaway.
