Blurb:
Ali has been hiding in an attic since civilisation collapsed eight weeks ago.
When the plague hit, her neighbours turned into mindless, hungry, homicidal maniacs.
Daniel has been a loner his entire life. Then the world empties and he realises that being alone isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Finn is a former cop who is desperate for companionship, and willing to do anything it takes to protect the survivors around him.
When the three cross paths they band together; sparks fly, romance blooms in the wasteland and Ali, Daniel and Finn bend to their very human needs in the ruins of civilisation.
Lust, love and trust all come under fire in Flesh as the three band together to survive, hunted through the suburban wastelands.

Melinda's Review:
My good friend has been after me for a while now to read
these books ( Mind you she loves Zombies and the whole Living Dead thing) . I have never really been into the living
dead, zombie, blood, gore, I’m going to eat you up BUT That being said, I
finally gave in and read this book, one because my friend was persistent and
two because I really like this author. I
loved this book, couldn’t put it down. I
was surprised there wasn’t as much gore as I thought there was going to
be. I give Flesh 5 stars.
Back to the review:
This book starts out with Daniel and meeting Ali, well if you want to
call Ali pointing a shotgun at Daniel’s face a meeting. Ali wants to go back and hide in her attic
while Dan wanted them to move out west. They
fought and argued the entire way. While
they were getting supplies they encountered some not so nice non-infected men
who had their own ideas what to do with Ali.
Finn came in and saved them both and was on a mission to protect Ali at
all cost. Ali began to see that she had feelings for
both Finn and Dan. They found a town
that took them in not that it was all easy street living now that they were
there. There are some ups, downs, and
twist and turns. I don’t want to give
away everything.
I enjoyed Ali and Dan’s relationship not all starry eyed
lovers they constantly argued. I loved
Ali’s stubbornness. Then there is Finn
all serious about keeping Ali safe. There
was a part in the book I got extremely agree at the town for what happened to
Ali. Then when she was telling the
“Mayor” and everyone else what she saw they blew her off and didn’t believe
her. Oh, I wanted to punch him so
bad. I hate it when people don’t believe
you when they have no reason to discount what you are saying.
I liked this book so much I had to get the second book
Skin. Never did I think I would enjoy a
Zombie book, but boy did I! Thank you
Kylie Scott for writing a good book and Angie for suggesting I read it.
Blurb:
Six months since the
zombie plague struck, former librarian Roslyn Stewart has been holed up
in a school with eight other survivors. But now the shelves in the
school canteen are bare. The stranger at the gate has supplies that will
ensure the group’s ongoing survival, but at a cost. He wants a woman.
Nick is a man with a plan. He’ll treat Roslyn like a Queen, devoting the rest of his life to protecting and providing for her. In exchange, of course, for sexual favours. It’s the deal of the century given the state of the world. But Roslyn doesn’t see it that way. The first chance she gets she attacks the ex-army man and attempts to escape, forcing Nick to contain her. And so begins his awkward courtship of the woman, with her chained to the bed for security reasons.
Chained like a dog and forced to spend her every waking moment with a creep, albeit a good looking one, Ros is determined to escape. When circumstances force them to band together against a common enemy their very survival depends on their ability to learn to trust each other. An uneasy partnership develops, but can a relationship with such a difficult beginning ever have a future?
The hotly anticipated sequel to Flesh, Skin is set in the same universe with a different set of characters.

Melinda's Review:
This is the sequel to Flesh. I enjoyed this one even more
that Flesh. I give Skin 5 stars.
This one is about Nick and Roslyn. Nick was one of the three that were kicked
out of Blackstone told never to return or he would be killed. Roslyn was held up in a school with who she
thought were her friends. That is until Nick showed up with a van full of food
and those same friends traded her to Nick for the food (with friends like that
who needs enemies). Nick takes her home
where she tries to escape so he does want any respectable man would do (NOT). He chains her to the bed and puts a ball gag
in her mouth. He does have the place
stocked for her new clothes, shampoos, anything she would need. Well, anything that is not sharp and pointy
that is.
She does manage to escape one day then decides she really
doesn’t want to leave Nick and turns to go back only to be chased by Zombies
and Nick comes to save her. However,
their home is compromised and they have to leave. They run into the other two men that were
kicked out of Blackstone the same time he was.
Ros gets shot in an escape from the men.
Nick is determined to get Ros to Blackstone because he knows she will be
safe. Nick knows this means he will
probably have to leave her behind but she will be safe.
When they finally arrive at Blackstone well let’s just say
all hell breaks loose when they see it is Nick.
They did not shoot Nick on site but Nick and Ros was not welcomed. All I’m going to say is Nick, Ros, and 7
others are kicked out of Blackstone.
What to know what happened at Blackstone and who the other 7 are. Guess you’ll just have to go buy the book and
read it for yourself.
Kylie Scott didn’t disappoint on this book. She has turned me into a Zombie fan. I cannot wait for the next book and to find
out who the book will be about.
