Second Time's the Charm

Book Blurb:
How does a middle aged, divorcee with two children find her way back to love after a devastating divorce leaves her with no self confidence and no faith in love? Lissa's ex-husband has shredded her self-esteem so she's thrown herself into her children and her work, leaving time for nothing else.

When an life threatening illness in her best friend's family puts Lissa on the path to romance, Lissa finds new love in a most unexpected way--an introduced by her new guy's ex-wife.

Who knew that first time loves could lead to second chances

Angie J's 3.5 star review:

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

One of the things I like about Melissa's books are that they are quick in and outters.....being a blogger there are days when I want something short, sweet and perfect.  Her books totally fit that tine constraint for me.

This book is about Lissa who is helping her best friend Chloe.  Chloe's son was hurt and Lissa calls Alex, the jackass ex, to tell him.  Well Alex isn't what she expected on the phone and is excited she will be at the hospital?  What is that all about? Well Holy hawtness...Alex shows up and Lissa is trying not to jump his bones in the hospital.  Alex and her have instant chemistry.  The two even begin to date.  Alex admits he has been asking Chloe about the hottie in the picture for months now and she is allll for them dating...so they do.  The end of the story is very sweet and made me immediately begin on book 2.  I hope you will as well.

Three's a Crowd

Book Blurb:
For Lissa, the second time at love was a charm but in marriage, three’s a crowd.

Single mother Lissa Vincent found her soul mate in her best friend’s ex-husband. Alex Hunter couldn’t believe his fortune when his ex-wife told him her best friend was available. After divorce, finding love again could be a challenge but it appeared Alex and Lissa had gotten lucky. Yet as they start their lives as newlyweds, Alex and Lissa don’t realize just how difficult it might be to blend a family.

When Alex’s ex new marriage begins to unravel, she sets her sights again on Alex. Does Alex still have feelings for the mother of his child? Will Lissa keep her best friend or lose her husband?

Fairytales promise a happily-ever-after. But what really happens after the after

Angie J's 4 star review:
I received this book from the authors for an honest review.

Alrighty sooo i finished book one and immediately started book 2. I will say this book was longer then the first and combined both books were 60 pages??? The vibe of this book was totally different. Lissa and Alex are married and happy. They are managing his kid and her kids plus her jackass ex hubby who is not thrilled she has remarried.

Well Chloe's marriage is becoming strained and she begins to make uncomfortable comments to Lissa about how Alex wasw hers first...uhm excuse me sister....you threw this man away when you had an affair...yes ladies the grass isnt always greener now is it *SMDH* Well Lissa invited Chloe to move in with them even though she is feeling the pressure of this awkward situation. She feels like Chloe is trying to steal her husband away and guess what *GASP* She is!!! *cue music* Well Lissa is not having that at alllllll....she is gonna fight for her man but sends him to sleep with the kids even though she knows nothing happens??? Now come on Lissa!!!!

I loved this short story/series and the epilogue was great. So like I said before, if you want a quick, sweet but with a little bit of drama story...these are great!!!

About the author:

Melissa Keir has always wanted to be an author when she wasn't hoping for a career as a race car driver.  Her love of books was instilled by her mother and grandparents who were avid readers. She'd often sneak books away from them so that she could fantasize about those strong alpha males and plucky heroines.  In middle school and high school, Melissa wrote sappy love poems and shared them with her friends.  She still has those poems today! In college, her writing changed to sarcastic musings on life as well as poems with a modern twist on fairy tales and won awards for her writing. You can find many of these musings along with her latest releases on her website and blog.

As a writer, Melissa likes to keep current on topics of interest in the world of writing.  She's a member of the Romance Writers of America and EPIC. Melissa is always interested in improving her writing through classes and seminars.  She also believes in helping other authors and features authors and their books on her blog.

Melissa doesn't believe in down time.  She's always keeping busy.  Melissa is a wife and mother, an elementary school teacher, a book reviewer, an editor for a publishing company as well as an author. Her home blends two families and is a lot like the Brady Bunch, without Alice- a large grocery bill, tons of dirty dishes and a mound of laundry. She loves to write stories that feature "happy endings" and is often found plotting her next story.

Melissa loves hearing from readers!
