Author Interview and Review of Lusting the Enemy by Mel Teshco

Lusting the Enemy
Book Blurb:
Akeisha is on a mission to be chosen as part of a harem for the desert king, Judas. She’ll use her body to entice and beguile, do anything it takes to save the near-extinct larakytes, her shape-shifting silver panther tribe, from Judas’ human subjects, who are trying to eradicate them.

She never expects to succumb to the wild ecstasy in his arms, a pleasure that threatens to expose her inner cat even as it transcends anything she’s ever felt from one of her own kind.

Falling in love with a human enemy was never part of the plan, but maybe there’s more to Judas than meets the eye.
Angie J's Review:
I received this book from the author for a truthful review.

*Gulping down the ice water and turning on my fan*

Ladies let me describe this book is one word, "Holy-Mother-of-all-hawtness".  OK so I kinda stretched that but you get my point, the book rocked.  The book is about Akeisha who is a shape shifter and needs to seduce the king of the humans, Judas, to help save her people.  Well lemme tell ya, the girl has mega balls.  She has to go and stand outside in the blazing heat with 50 chicks and try and get Judas' attention to be part of his harem.  Well when he walks by to "inspect her" , she gets buck naked...way to go Akeisha cuz lets be honest what man is gonna turn down a hot naked girl???  SOOOO he picks her (Duh like you didn't figure that right) and they have a night of "welcome to my castle" fun.
Judas is very smitten by his new lover but is hiding a secret of his own.  He takes Akeisha all over town and is more impressed by her kind nature.  She is also more and more smitten by the fact he isnt the cruel, ruthless leader she presumed he was.
I should mention their are humans who HATE shifters of any kind and seek them out to kill them.  Akiesha and Judas run into some troubles with these bad peps and have a little rebellion.  I don't want to tell you too much because it is a quick amazing read.  I  will say I did enjoy the twist the author threw in as Judas' secret.  I also loved that Judas is a great alpha male character.  Annnnnd, I loves me some alpha male!!!
Any way, I am defo going to be adding to my TBR list more of this authors books!!!

Interview with the Author:

Hello and thank you for taking time out of your schedule to answer a few questions for our readers.  Ok so we like to ask a few “hard hitting” *giggles* questions and then move on to some silly stuff.  Ready?  Here we go….

Ok so I have never read anything of yours before this novella “Lusting the Enemy”.  So is this part of a series or a stand alone?

~Thanks so much for having me! Lusting the Enemy is book 1 of a three book series (but there may be more, depending on readers love/hate of the series lol!)

Since I am a newbie to your writing, what would you suggest I read next because I did see you have several books/series on Goodreads.

~OMG they’re all my babies LOL! I think it would depend on your reading taste. If you love vampires, then Her Dark Lord might be to your taste. Or if you prefer gargoyles, I have a three book series called Winged and Dangerous you might enjoy (with another I plan to write). My latest series is based around a post-apocalyptic world where human men have died out from a virus and alien males (whose females were the weaker of the species on their planet and succumbed to the virus) are looking for their earth women mates. This series is called Alien Hunger, and book 3 (Galactic Flame) has just been released. I also have a couple of werewolf standalone stories and a couple of contemporaries. See, I cater to every taste *g*

What authors do you enjoy reading and why?

~Any author who pulls me into the story from the get-go. My reading tastes do lean toward paranormal and I read authors like J.R Ward, Kresley Cole and Keri Arthur, though I’ve had a category binge lately and really love India Grey (and many more.)

Silly random questions:

When you write do you fly by the seat of your pants or plot?

~I definitely fly by the seat of my pants, though I do try and have a rough idea about my upcoming scene once my initial, short-lived effortless writing peters out. Plotting just does my head in lol!

What celebrity would you say would play the part of Judas and Akiesha If this was made into a very naughty movie ?

~The hero is all in my head and I just can’t place who would play Judas, but my daughter insists Hrithik Roshan (Bollywood hero fame) would be perfect.

Emilia Clarke (gorgeous girl from Game of Thrones) fits my heroine brilliantly.

What authors do you enjoy reading when you find the time?

~I’ve been reading a lot of authors/stories I would never have considered in print, and found some fantastic reads that way. Ellora’s Cave has been re-releasing a ‘first book in the series’ freebie, which has introduced me to some fabulous authors.

Mel Teshco grew up in Australia, where her seemingly gypsy dad and ever patient mother saw her living in many areas of the East Coast, along with her sister and two brothers.

Each new home stimulated an already over-active imagination, where she spent as much time dreaming about fantasy worlds as the real world - the fantasy sometimes being much better.
Now living on a small rural property with three horses and a handful or two of cats, she is happily married with three children of wide-spread ages and a stepson.

Not only does she adore writing darker-style paranormals, she also enjoys writing paranormal erotica and has some published works with Ellora's Cave.
