Dumped in OZ Andrew Grey

Synopsis:

Tales from Kansas

Because of an opportunity he’d be a fool to turn down, Lyle Powers transfers to his company’s warehouse in central Kansas. The last thing he expects is to meet another gay man in the small town, let alone one who captures his interest.

Roger Kypers is a recovering alcoholic with a twelve-year-old daughter he only gets to see for part of the summer. Neither Lyle nor Roger is looking for a relationship, and they fumble at the start, yet emotions build as Roger shows Lyle the landmarks of Oz.

But when Roger’s wicked witch of an ex-wife threatens to take his daughter away for good if he doesn’t act “normally,” he’s faced with the challenge of letting her get away with it, or fighting to accept himself and standing up for what he knows is right.

JEN'S REVIEW
5 STARS

I totally fell in love with this book! It is a beautiful story about a man in a mid life crisis who decides to make a change in location to help jump start his life. Lyle can't believe he has been asked to move to know where land in Kansas for a career opportunity. He is apprehensive because he is so set on his routine that he doesn't realize he hasn't really been living but just existing. Once he arrives in the quiet town of Wamego, KS where every knows everyone, he quickly meets the sexy vibrant Roger. They immediately have goo-goo eyes for each other. Its so sweet, I love it. Problem is Roger has the ultimate "B" for an ex-wife and a daughter he will protect with everything.

I was totally swooning over Roger!! I love a family man. I adored the family theme this book had and I loved how no matter what Lyle just showed his strengths and went "balls to the walls" after Roger. He never once doubted his feelings about making this relationship work. Roger earns my "Dad of the Year" award for sure. I love how throughout the story we get to see Roger develop such strength and begin to believe that he deserves to be happy at all costs.

Andrew Grey manages to give the reader another fantastic story with characters that will steal your heart. I loved the OZ elements in this story and truly hope to visit Wamego just to check it out. This a great short novella with that graceful HEA that we all love about Andrew Grey books. I can't wait to read the next installment in this series. What a great book 1 to start with. So go get this one, you will love it like I did!!
