**Guest Posting by Amee P**Black Dagger Brotherhood book 6 - Lover Enshrined by JR Ward

It is actually Zsadist.

Lover Enshrined (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #6)

Book Blurb:

In this "frighteningly addictive" paranormal romance saga there's a war raging between vampires and their slayers. Here are the stories of a secret band of brothers like no other-six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. And now a dutiful twin must choose between two lives...

Fiercely loyal to the Black Dagger Brotherhood, Phury has sacrificed himself for the good of the race, becoming the male responsible for keeping the Brotherhood's bloodlines alive. As Primale of the Chosen, he is obligated to father the sons and daughters who will ensure that the traditions of the race survive, and that there are warriors to fight those who want all vampires extinguished.

As his first mate, the Chosen Cormia wants to win not only his body, but his heart for herself. She is drawn to the noble responsibility behind the emotionally scarred male. But Phury has never allowed himself to know pleasure or joy. As the war with the Lessening Society grows grim, tragedy looms over the Brotherhood's mansion, and Phury must decide between duty and love.

Amee's Review:

On my re-read journey I was least looking forward to re-visiting this book because I will be honest the first time I read Lover Enshrined I did not love it. Don't get me wrong it would have still gone into my list of some of my favorite books ever, however, it was probably one of my least favorite of this series. BOY am I glad that I took the plunge and re-read this because I have a TOTALLY different view of this book now! This book is FANGTASTIC and it is filled with so much vital information for the series as a whole that re-reading it helps me remember a great deal of important intel! I think if you are reading this for the first time it is going to seem different for you then the previous 5 books because it is different.

Phury is a virgin and he has been placed into the role or Primale. (*SIDE NOTE* for anyone who is wondering Primale is pronounced like tamale but preeeeeee at the beginning.) Up until Lover Enshrined, Phury is portrayed at a very honorable male you have no real inkling that he has anything wrong with him. He is always there to help everyone! He saved Zsadist, his twin, and he took over for Vishous as Primale when he saw that Vishous had fallen in love. He is almost too good to be true, and very suddenly you find out that he actually is and he is not nearly as perfect as he seems. A side of him is revealed that truly comes out of no where, at first you are thinking what is going on but as the book goes along this side to him, I believe, is necessary for his personal journey. Since the moment Phury saw his twins shellan, Bella, he has thought he was in love with her. But she does not have the same romantic feelings towards him like she does with Zsadist so Phury suffers internally as he watches the two of them be so happy together. His love for Bella and knowing he will never be able to have her is one of the main reasons he agrees to take on the Role of Primale. When Phury first meets the Chosen who is to be his first mate, Cormia, he doesn't realize at first that he has in fact met his destiny. I LOVE Cormia, she is probably one of my most favorite females in this whole series. She has been breed to procreate for the sole purpose of continuing the Vampire race and she knows this is her duty, but deep inside she wants so much more then that for herself. Until Phury takes her to the "other side" into the real world with the Brothers, though, she has no idea WHAT more that could be. As she discovers that she also finds out who she is and who she loves. The journey for both Cormia and Phury is not an easy one and it is also not a fast one like it has been for some of the previous BDB couples but it is a good one. It is worth the wait to watch the two of them become themselves and take on their roles in the world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood.

As I stated earlier this book is not just about Phury and his HEA it has A LOT of other stuff going on!!!!! A vital villain shows his UGLY head in this book for the first time. The boys, JM, Qhuinn and Blay, all have very important roles in this book and the things that happen between them are going to become very important later on in the series. Also a lot happens with Rehvenge as well as you get to know Xhex better. Not only all of this but a very important thing happens when the fallen angel Lassiter makes his first appearance in the series.

I know that Lover Enshrined is not #1 on peoples list when it comes to the Black Dagger Brotherhood but I do urge you to read it and keep going even though it is not the same as the first 5 books and even though there is a side of Phury that will pop up from what seems like no where. Then when you are finished reading the series read it again because after the 2nd go I have a MUCH bigger appreciation for this book!
