Giveaway, Author Guest Posting AND Review of Skin (Flesh #2) by Kylie Scott

Skin (Flesh #2)

Book Blurb:

Six months since the zombie plague struck, former librarian Roslyn Stewart has been holed up in a school with eight other survivors. But now the shelves in the school canteen are bare. The stranger at the gate has supplies that will ensure the group’s ongoing survival, but at a cost. He wants a woman.

Nick is a man with a plan. He’ll treat Roslyn like a Queen, devoting the rest of his life to protecting and providing for her. In exchange, of course, for sexual favours. It’s the deal of the century given the state of the world. But Roslyn doesn’t see it that way. The first chance she gets she attacks the ex-army man and attempts to escape, forcing Nick to contain her. And so begins his awkward courtship of the woman, with her chained to the bed for security reasons.

Chained like a dog and forced to spend her every waking moment with a creep, albeit a good looking one, Ros is determined to escape. When circumstances force them to band together against a common enemy their very survival depends on their ability to learn to trust each other. An uneasy partnership develops, but can a relationship with such a difficult beginning ever have a future?

The hotly anticipated sequel to Flesh, Skin is set in the same universe with a different set of characters.

Angie J's Review:

I received this book ARC from the author for a truthful review of the book.

OK sooooooo I love Kylie and her novels.  I mean Zombies running around trying to eat you and people are falling in love.....perfection!!!  Her books are a total episode of The Walking Dead but well.... really naughty!! :)  For those of you that don't know, Kylie soooo graciously let us raffle off her first book Flesh when our blog first opened in October.  So she has been with us since the very beginning and watched us grow.  We LOVE you for helping us as much as we have helped you!!!  MUAH!!!

Ok so this novel....Oh brother Nick.....well IF you read Flesh (If not ya better cuz its a hawt M/F/M story plus scary zombies are everywhere.) you will remember Nick was cast out of the safe community because they deemed him untrustworthy.  So he has been alone, hopeless and basically spying on the pockets of people he has found.  WELLLLL  he sees Ros and BOOM goes the fly of his pants.....Yup thinking with the lower extremities.....SOOOO our hero decides to BUY her from her "friends"...sigh....really Nick?  I mean Flowers and a can of Spam since they are starving might have been  a better approach but......Well their "relationship" isn't so happy.  WHAT you are shocked?  I mean being chained to the bed with a gag ball doesn't help you form trust you say??  Well needless to say a bond does form along with some very hot sparks.  Holy hell their first "joining" shall I say...what girl wouldn't want it THAT way *gulps ice cold water* cuz I sure wouldn't complain.  Well Ros freaks and escapes because well...she is a typical hot mess of a women.  Confused over why in the heck she did that with a man who BOUGHT her and held her as a hostage. (SMH! Dude he is hot and who wouldn't have given in at some point??  Must be the dang Stockholm Syndrome she was talking about.)  Anywho, when Ros realizes she wants to be with Nick all hell breaks out.  She gets chased by a herd of zombies and our hero is there in a flash but their little safe haven is now gone.  So out on the run they go into the world to try and find someplace to survive.

Well at this point in the novel is when all shit really starts to happen.  Nick and Ros run into some Super Big Douche Bags and things happen......Then they run to the safe community Blackstone where If you remember Nick is kinda hated.  So when they find out that Ros was "purchased" he wasn't very well received AGAIN!!  The last pat of the book was action packed no doubt.  There was a point when I was reading I yelled "NOOOOO" and was soooo saddened. ....haha you sooo now I am gonna leave you hanging right??!!!  Anyway, I loved seeing Allie, Finn and Dan from Book 1.  They are working well together and help Nick and Ros.  I am excited for where book 3 will go and I have zero clue who the hero will be.  I THINK I have a clue about the female but EH who knows!!!  All I can say is that this book is amazing and maybe even better then the 1st if possible!!!

Authors Posting:

First up, thank you to the Twinsie girls for letting me visit.
Now, we’re all here because we love stories of romance, right? I love a happy ending. I love knowing everyone is going to get what’s coming to them at the end of the day. I especially love that woozy stomach feeling of falling for a fictional man. The hero. Heck yes. Let’s talk about him. I don’t mind a bit of variety, but I have to admit, I have a weakness for tall, dark and handsome. I like ‘em a little bit bad but still willing to go down on their knees and grovel when the occasion warrants it. Love a grovel done right. Also, a sense of humour is essential for me, because I’m a little crazy myself. So someone that can laugh at life is a must.

Wait up. I’m starting to sound like I’m on a dating website, aren’t I? Sorry. Bear with me a little longer, if you will.

So, tall dark and handsome with a sense of humour. Good in bed (duh, of course) and clever. He has to have morals, ethics. He’s got to know the difference between right and wrong. But what if he doesn’t quite hit the mark in that department? Is that a deal breaker? What if he’s one to cross the line now and then to get the job done? Oh, that murky bloody grey area.

(Warning: I’m building up to promo here. But you knew that, right?)

In SKIN, Nick stumbles upon a group of people holed up in a private school. We’re about six months Post-Zombie-Apocalypse when this happens. The world isn’t so shiny and bright. Now Nick has been alone for quite a few of those months. No one to talk to, no interaction with anyone at all. He decides to fill a van with supplies and take it to the school, offering to trade it for a woman. Due to his snooping around while they were unaware, he knows they’re running low on food. He also knows there’s a woman in there. A feisty red head named Roslyn. The group in the school take a vote and Roslyn is effectively voted off the island. SKIN is the story of what happens next.

Do you think Nick could make a good hero? He’s a nice enough guy, just a little desperate. He means her no harm and he will certainly never force her. Still, buying women....not cool. He’s handsome in a rough and ready way, charming... sort of. He definitely has a sense of humour. But has he gone too far? Given the post-apocalyptic situation, what do you think?

Alannah Lynne GUEST POSTING and GIVEAWAY

Thanks so much for letting me visit with you today and to introduce Kevin Mazze and Sam Wallace – “Crossing Lines”

I’ll be on the road most of the day, but I’ll have my laptop with me and will check in every chance I get to answer questions and comments. Enjoy the excerpt!!

Book Blurb:

The world’s best-stocked toy drawer can only take a gal so far. Bored with her current assortment of vibrating, plastic pieces, Sam Wallace decides to add a new sex toy to her collection: Kevin Mazze. The sexy Italian is more than happy to help her live out her long-held sexual fantasies, and trusting him with her body is easy. Trusting him with her heart, however, is not… especially when he commits an unforgiveable sin.

Kevin Mazze is one of the good guys. He’s spent his life always doing the right things and making those around him happy. When he meets the woman of his dreams, at the worst possible time, he finds himself making bad choices in the name of good and crossing lines he never thought he would…while praying she never finds out.

Book Excerpt:

Between dinner and the ride home, her foot had been down for a while, so the swelling and throbbing had gotten worse.
Catching her wince, he said, “You get settled here. I’ll get you an ice pack and pillow to prop up your leg. Where can I find one?”
She rested her head against the arm of the sofa and stretched out, hating herself for being a wimp. But the ibuprofen quit working hours ago and she really hurt. She smiled at the man hovering over her with concern marring his handsome face. She wasn’t accustomed to letting anyone take care of her, but she liked knowing someone cared.
“There’s a bag of frozen peas in the freezer that’ll work well. I keep spare pillows and blankets in the bottom drawer of my dresser. You can grab one of those.”
“I’m sure you’re not used to letting anyone take care of you. Thanks for allowing me to do this.” He pressed a kiss to her forehead and walked away.
She ran her fingers over her forehead like she could capture the kiss and hold it in place. His lips had been as soft as she suspected, and she couldn’t wait for a real kiss. Just as she’d imagined last night—
Fuck!
As his footsteps disappeared into her bedroom, panic seized her. She’d gotten a new dresser when she moved into this house and this one only had one bottom drawer. She also had a hall closet now, so she moved the blankets and pillows to the closet and used the bottom dresser drawer for her toys.
“Kevin,” she yelled, scrambling off the couch and landing on her ass with a thud. “Kevin, stop.” She used the coffee table to get to her foot and hopped around the end table. She grabbed the back of the rocking chair, which was not the least bit helpful, then bunny-hopped down the hallway. She wanted to yell again, but was afraid of waking Michy. However, if she didn’t yell, Kevin would—
She rounded the bedroom door as the bottom drawer slid open for the full reveal.
The rhetorical question she asked on the boardwalk had been answered. The day could get more embarrassing; her mortification was complete.
The wheels of time ground to a screeching halt… stood still for several heartbeats… then, one cog at a time, began to turn in slow motion. His eyes widened in surprise at not finding a pillow and blanket as expected, but a mass profusion of eroticism that would make a seasoned hooker blush. He blinked once, then twice as his nostrils flared and his chest rose and fell with sharp, heavy breaths. His head swiveled toward her, and he trained nearly black eyes on her face.
Her cheeks flamed, and she wanted to turn and flee from the room as fast as her hop-along gait would allow, but she was locked in place, held captive by his intense stare. Besides, even if she could escape, where would she go? Running back to the couch wouldn’t undo any of this or magically make him forget what he saw.
She shifted her weight, trying to ease the pressure on her heel, but he must’ve thought she was preparing to bolt because he said, “Don’t move.”
His command, delivered in a rough, raspy voice, made her good leg go weak, and she grabbed hold of the waist-high dresser for balance.
“These are things your friend sells?”
She swallowed again and went for a joke, hoping to ease a little of the tension. “I’m a quality control tester. If I give a good rating, she sells it. If not…” She shrugged and glanced at the leather slapper in his hand.
“Can I assume you only keep the good stuff, or…” He picked up the Long Dong and flipped his eyes to her. “Does the bad stuff settle to the bottom while your favorites stay on top?”
She flicked her attention to the paddle and chewed her bottom lip. “Something like that.”
He replaced the vibrator and traced a pattern in the wood-grain paddle, as she’d done the night before. She tried to settle her choppy breathing by drawing in deep, uneven breaths, but it was a losing battle.
“What’s your favorite?”
She glanced at the Double Dong and shook her head. Oh, hell no. It was bad enough he learned she had a whole drawer full of this stuff; no way would she share her deepest secrets. She didn’t need to vocalize anything, however. Her eyes had given her away.
He picked up the double dildo and his eyebrows arched dramatically. His throat pumped a few times before he cleared it and said, “Can you take this whole thing, sugar?”
She pressed her lips together and willed her body not to betray her further.
“I’m taking your silence as a yes. Interesting…”
She pressed her palms against the dresser, preparing to push into an upright position. In a quick, fluid motion, Kevin had the paddle in his hand, the bedroom door shut, and stood next to her, blocking her path.
“Your eyes went to this paddle a half dozen times.” He ran his hand along the smooth, beveled edge. “I don’t know anything about Cheri’s toys, but I do know wood. This nice, cherry paddle wasn’t mass-produced. Where’d you get it?”
“A show in Charlotte.”
His eyes narrowed and his mouth worked while he chewed the inside of his cheek. He stepped closer and pressed his body against her side. “You enjoy being spanked?”
She turned her head to hide her face and shrugged. “I don’t know.”
“Look at me.”
His voice was sharp and commanding, and he said nothing else while waiting for her to follow his directive. She looked back to him, but his dark eyes seemed to bore straight into her soul and she couldn’t maintain eye contact.
“What do you mean you don’t know?
Jesus, would the horror never end? He’d found her stash, identified her favorite toy, and figured out the paddle didn’t come from Cheri’s, which meant she’d gone out of her way to buy that specific implement—which would make him believe she enjoyed being spanked. But the truth was she didn’t know. She’d never been spanked by anyone but herself.
Could one get any more pathetic?
Refusing to bare her soul any further, she pushed off the dresser and away from him.
Before she could open the door, his arm shot out and wrapped around the front of her waist, locking her in place to prevent an escape while supporting her weight so she didn’t put pressure on her foot. “Did your husband use these toys on you?’
Her harsh laugh was answer enough.
He titled his head and studied her closely. “Has anyone ever spanked you?”
When she didn’t answer, he gave her a quick, sharp swat with the paddle. It didn’t hurt, but shocked her, making her gasp and glare simultaneously. His tone was low and authoritative, a different person than the easy-going, playful man she spent the afternoon with.
“Answer me or you’ll get another.”
Well now, wasn’t this an interesting conundrum? If she didn’t answer, he’d spank her, which was exactly what she wanted. A win-win-win.
The corner of his mouth notched up. “That’s what I thought.”
“Oh, you’re a mind reader now?” Reflexes and a sense of preservation had her fighting, even though she didn’t really want to go anywhere. Her muscles contracted as her internal struggle persisted.
His chin dipped and he looked through the fringe of his lashes with soft, understanding eyes. “I have a friend who owns a kink club. I did some work for him and spent a fair amount of time at the club with him and his wife.” He lifted a shoulder casually. “I’ve picked up a few things over the years.”
He maneuvered his body behind hers, pressed his hands to the sides of her hips, and positioned her at the end of the dresser. Leaning over her back, he whispered in her ear, “Palms on the dresser, ass up and out. Let’s find out how much you enjoy this.”

Angie J's Review:

I was given this book for an honest review for the blog tour we are on.

I was pretty excited to receive this book because I am a huge paranormal reader. I generally read just vampires but thought a ghost book would be a cool step outta my regular reading.  I was really excited to give it a try.  With all that said, I don't even know where to begin.  This book was a bit of a challenge for me because it was a bit confusing with all these flashbacks in the beginning. I found myself wondering "What the heck is going one" and even texted a friend to see her take on it. When you are character building and then have these random flashbacks, I was very confused. HOWEVER, trust me when I say, stick with it.  It was sooo good.  Once I got more confident with the characters and who was who and what was what, I enjoyed this book totally.  I actually read probably 60% in one night.  I found myself enjoying the slow burn of the two main characters trying to get together and make a relationship when everyone else doesn't want them together.  I was very very interested in "Who the heck is Peter" (the bad guy) in the story.  There were several times I thought I figured it out and when the book comes to an end and you discover who 'Peter" is, I WAS STUNNED!!!!!   I didn't see it coming at all.  I mean, blown away.

Broken Desires (Broken Series)

Book Blurb:

Sofia follows a dare and sets an appointment with the hot gynecologist she's crushing on. After an embarrassing series of events, she feigns a diabetes attack, leaves his office and prays she never sees him again. Two days later, she meets him in the supermarket and he asks her to dinner.

Daniel deals with his dark past by pleasuring women. Very selective with who he chooses for his erotic games, his next available choice, Sofia, doesn't measure up to the kind of woman he needs. But with his options near zero, he decides to take a chance, and soon discovers that pleasuring Sofia opens a door to a rewarding new desire.

Amee P's Review:

So girls have you ever had a crush on a total stranger you continue to run into while just out and about in town? Would you ever be brave enough to do something about it? Yea, well not Sofia either that is until she is dared to, Then she has no choice. Little does she know that meeting the hot guy in from the grocery store might be more then she bargained for. Daniel is drawn to Sofia in a way he has never felt before and he is not quite sure how to deal with his emotions towards her. Sofia is a quarky, clumsy, silly person who is WAY out of the norm for Daniels normal "type", but the world works in mysterious ways when it comes to love and the two of them are like magnets. You will love the humor in this book as well as the attraction. Azure Boone does a marvelous job bringing love together even for the most unlikely of couples and you will LOVE this pairing...I can't wait to see what is in store next for Daniel and Sofia!!!

I'm a mother of nine children and a wife of twenty-two years. I sort of accidentally stumbled into writing. It was inspired by a need for money for the most part, and I thought, how hard can it be? Well, three years worth of serious learning hard. It's been four years I believe since I first began, and I'm still learning all the time.

The biggest surprise about writing, for me, was how much I fell in love with it. I don't think I can write any story without a romance, however. I've tried, feels incomplete both inside my mind and on paper. I'm Cinderella all the way.

People ask me how I find time to write with so many children. I always say, "If it weren't for all these children, I'd never have time to write." LOL. Ironic, isn't it? I've learned to adapt our lives to my profession and passion in hopes to offer a little financial relief to my husband who has carried the load faithfully for so long.

My dream is to enable my husband to retire and have the financial freedom to enjoy his family.

Thanks for reading my work. :)

EXCERPT:

When I arrive at Cora’s house at five minutes past three, I only have to knock once before the lock turns and the door creaks open. Adam is standing before me wearing a soft smile and I know he’s probably been here all day.
“Come on in,” he says, holding the door wide open for me.
I walk inside and Cora is sitting in her recliner in front of the television with Bigfoot in her lap. The apartment is clean and the usual sharp litter box smell is gone. Cora looks up and smiles so big I can see the gap where she’s missing her two back molars.
“Hello, honey. Have you met Adam Parker? He’s your new neighbor,” she says in a voice that makes me feel a little like a preschooler being introduced to a classmate. “I think you two should get to know each other.”
She obviously doesn’t know about our date yet.
Adam takes a seat on the sofa, on the side closest to the recliner, and pats the cushion next to him. “Yeah, come sit down, Claire. Let’s get to know each other.”
I take a seat on the sofa, making sure to put at least a foot of space between Adam and I, then I turn to Cora. “What did you do today? Where’s Tina?”
“Adam’s been taking care of me today. He gave her the day off,” she says, and her eyes crinkle with delight.
I narrow my eyes at him and he grabs Cora’s hand as he turns back to her. “It was my pleasure. I didn’t have anything to do today since the only other person I know in this town was working.”
“You work too much, Claire,” Cora chimes in, as she continues to stroke Bigfoot with her free hand.
Geez. It’s like these two have spent the past six hours rehearsing a routine to get Adam and me together. First he switches my schedule without my knowledge and now he’s using Cora to get on my good side. He is a master conspirator.
I stand up and do a quick check around the kitchen just to satisfy my curiosity. As expected, he did everything I asked. He even stocked her cupboard with plenty of hot cereal packets and her refrigerator with lots of fresh fruit.
“Well, it looks like you’re all taken care of so I’m gonna head home,” I say, as I plant a kiss on Cora’s forehead and rub Bigfoot’s head. “I need to shower and get to bed early. I have the early shift tomorrow.”
“Walk her home, Adam,” she says sweetly and he immediately pops up off the sofa.
“See you later, Cora. We’ll have to watch that movie another time.”
“See you later, sonny,” she says, and I know what’s coming next. “But just because I call you sonny, doesn’t mean you’re bright.”
He laughs and points at her. “I can’t keep up with you, C.”
Adam follows me out of the apartment and uses his own key, which Cora must have given him, to lock her deadbolt.
I take a few steps and turn when I reach my door. “C? Did you spend the whole day with her?”
“I ran a few errands for her, but other than that, yes, I spent the day with Cora. She’s funny and we were about to watch a movie before you interrupted us.”
“Oh, well, don’t let me interrupt your date with Cora. Please go right back in.”
He steps forward and my back hits my front door as I take a step back. He leans against my door with his hands on either side of my head, effectively caging me in.
“Are you jealous of my relationship with Cora?”
His breath is hot against my nose and warmth rushes through me, lighting up my core.
“I just don’t want her to get so used to having you around. She’s had a lot of people bail on her and I….” His face is getting closer with every word I speak. “I don’t want her to get hurt.”
“Are you sure we’re talking about Cora?” he whispers against my lips, lingering for a moment before he pushes away from the door. “I work all week, but I’ll be by your house at nine a.m. on Saturday. Wear a bathing suit under your clothes.”
I let out a deep sigh and scramble into my apartment, slamming the door behind me. I take a few calming breaths then try to ignore the ache pulsating between my legs as I make my way to my bedroom to meditate

Queen of Hearts by Rachell Nichole

Book Blurb:
Maya Cobb is a classic Gemini. She’s adaptable, affectionate, versatile, intelligent, cunning, and she holds a deep-seated fear of commitment. Which means she’s the perfect match for Aquarius Erica.

Erica Jones, also true to her astrological sign, is friendly, honest, loyal, inventive, fiercely independent, contrary, unemotional, and detached. She hasn’t found a satisfying relationship in ages, and is ready to give up on love, even though she runs a dating service.

After a one night stand, fate keeps throwing them together in the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day. Maya offers to help Erica plan the Queen of Hearts Matchmaking event, though she doesn’t know much about dating women. Erica quickly realizes that while Maya bolted after their first night, she might be the only hope Erica has to save her business.

Book Preview Chapter One:
January 25th – three weeks to Valentine’s Day
“Has the prospect of being alone this Valentine’s Day got you down?”
Maya Cobb cringed and resisted the urge to punch the perky red-headed actress on the television. But she couldn’t seem to pry her gaze from the beautiful pale skin and smattering of freckles, or the dark peach lips.
“This year, I’ve got something special in store for you. Come to a V-Day mixer at Luc’s on Second Street, featuring the proven matchmaking skills from the Queen of Hearts herself. Cocktails, prizes, excitement, and more. For all the details, please visit our site at QoHMatchmaking.com.” The website flashed across the bottom of the screen in bright red letters as the actress spoke.
Maya’s gaze stayed glued to the screen until the last of the hearts floated away and a new commercial began. And damn if she didn’t have the urge to open her laptop and go surfing for the site. Was that the same dating site Jake had been nagging her to join? She thought it sounded familiar, but she couldn’t be sure until she asked him.
Didn’t matter, she realized as she opened the site. LGBTQ Dating, the Right Way, the header read. She closed the website, disgusted she’d actually gone and looked. Was she so desperate she’d consider joining a dating site? So what if it had worked out for Jake. It wouldn’t work for her and she knew it.
Besides, she hadn’t dated girls since college, so, Jake’s pestering aside, she wasn’t going back down that road again. If her last few boyfriends had been jealous jerks, the women she’d been with in school made these guys look like Prince Charmings. Women could be crazy. She didn’t need that kind of drama in her life. Not anymore. Besides, she wasn’t looking for Happily Ever After. And that seemed to be what Queen of Hearts was offering.
Looked like she’d be spending Valentine’s Day alone again. Not even Jake would be around to keep her company this year. He would spend it with his new beau, Adam. The two had been, in Jake’s words, “perfectly matched by the Queen herself.” As if that was supposed to mean anything.
Maya shook out her hair, trying to wrangle the thick strands into submission. She pulled it back into a poof bun and grabbed her spoon, lifting more Ben & Jerry’s into her mouth. Ignoring the tears still wetting her cheeks, she changed the channel. The “Men Are Pigs” Channel was only going to make her cry harder. You’d think after two months she would have been over what’s his-name. But being dumped the day after Thanksgiving had left her depressed as hell. Not because she’d really loved him. Not even because he’d necessarily broken her heart. But mostly because she couldn’t find a relationship that stuck. Nothing had lasted more than twelve months. It was like some kind of curse. As if the fates had decided she was destined to be alone. This coming holiday especially. Was it her fault nobody felt like sticking around after a few months? Maybe. But that didn’t mean it didn’t hurt every time one left.
She couldn’t pretend she didn’t know Ben’s name, either, no matter how many times Jake insisted on calling him what’s his name. She smiled around her next spoonful of ice cream,  remembering how Jake had helped her pick up the pieces again after a messy break-up. Again. He kept trying to convince her she needed a rebound. But she knew that was a mistake. What she needed was the thrill of the chase. She was making him take her out next weekend. Letting him pick the bars might be a huge mistake, but she needed a little excitement in her life. Deciding not to worry about it for the time being, she swiped the tears away and capped the B&J. She stuffed it in the freezer and turned off the television.
What she needed tonight was to bury herself in her work. She turned left out of the kitchen and flipped on the light to her home office. Immersing herself in work at home for the week would make it go by rapidly. And before she knew it, the hunt would be on.
Angie J's Review:

I received this book from the author for a truthful and honest review.

WOW!  This was a great, hawt, quick read.  I will say I have read many forms of erotica BUT this was my first F/F.  I loved how both of these characters showed true flaws or quirks when it comes to dating.  Maya was the girl who would do everything to push a person away because she was terrified of true love and commitment.  Erica was to busy throwing all life into her being the "Queen of Hearts" that she didn't date plus didn't believe she would ever find that one special person for herself.  I found her to be kinda funny because here she sells love but really doesn't believe in it for herself.  So anyway, the two meet at a new club and Maya sees Erica...sparks.  Maya and Erica have a pretty intense encounter that night but in typical Maya fashion she RUNS for the hills.  When Erica awakes she is a little sad because she actually enjoyed Maya.  Well the two ladies think about the other but figure they will never see each other again.....BOOM Maya walks into Erica's dating service with her best friend and they are re-connected.
Now I am leaving a BIG part of the plot out because HELLO I want you to read it.  But lets just say Erica could be in BIG trouble dating Maya if anyone finds out.....curious aren't ya.  I know you are.
I gave this book a 3.5 stars and mainly it is because I wish the book would have been longer.  I loved the book don't get me wrong!   However, at times, I wish the scenes would have been longer and not so rushed??   I think this ia a great novel and it definitely got me thinking about Valentine's Day and what the hell am I going to get my husband!!  LOL  I look forward to reading her other two novels and doing reviews on them.  You know us Twinsie's LOVE the new and upcoming authors!!!!

Author's Guest Posting:

Hey there everyone,
Thanks for having me stop by and for the review of Queen of Hearts. I just want to share with your readers a bit more about me and my writing process. Queen of Hearts was a lot of firsts for me at once. It was my first novella, the first story I had plotted all out in my head start to finish without any plotting boards or techniques, my first lesbian romance, and my first self-published books. That’s a lot of firsts, on a very short book, in a very short amount of time! I got the idea for this book after I had started working on another book, the sequel to my first erotic romance, An Affair Across Times Square. Maya and Erica just kind of cropped up early one morning before I got out of bed. As any writer worth her salt I had some kind of paper and writing tool by my bed. Because, as any writer will tell you, we sometimes get our best ideas JUST before we fall asleep or right as we wake up. J It’s annoying as hell actually, but it’s better than being idealess. So there I was thinking about a matchmaker who couldn’t find love and a woman who hadn’t thought about dating women seriously. And the whole book just kind of fell out of my head. I knew it was a Valentine’s Day romance, I knew I didn’t want to jump into another novel-length project, because I’d just finished two novels in a short time period. I really enjoyed writing a story that was a lead-up to another holiday, especially one that is for lovers like Valentine’s Day. It was fun, flirty, and full of interesting challenges.
 Thanks,

~Rach
