About The Author

 

SJ Molloy, first time British Author of ‘The Luminara Series’ was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. As a young child, her family moved and raised her in Lanarkshire, Scotland where she currently resides with her husband, two daughters and her energetic, hyperactive loving gun dog who is utterly spoiled.

SJ is a qualified Fitness Instructor and Health & Fitness Motivator of various fitness styles and disciplines. Music and dance aerobics have always been a pleasure and passion for her. SJ will sporadically make up dance style routines at any hour of the day when a move comes to her or piece of music moves or inspires her.  Currently not teaching classes she is focusing her time into nurturing her yearning passion for creative writing, exchanging one visualization for another.

As a child, SJ loved to write in journals and make up short stories and has a flare for all things creative. With an overactive imagination at times, SJ adores to make notes, visualize scenes and settings to create characterizations.

While on holiday with her family one summer reading book after book, she had a flash of inspiration and has had various ideas whirling around in her mind ever since. It was not until she pulled back on teaching classes that she found the courage, time and insight into actually bringing these ideas to life.

In February 2013 she decided to bring that imagination to light by beginning her writing  journey with ‘Lussuria’ the first installment in ‘The Luminara Series’ available from late October 2013.

Being a self-confessed book junkie, she loves nothing better than to get lost in an emotional and moving book. A true romantic at heart, her guilty pleasure is reading heart-warming, passionate stories and falling in love with her favorite fictional characters.

With five books already mapped out in ‘The Luminara Series’, SJ’s busy creative mind has already planned two more fictitious novels, both stand-alone romance books and very different in their own right.

When she is not writing or reading, spending time with family and friends or exercising and walking her dog, SJ loves all things practical and creative. Dancing, music, cooking, travelling, good food and wine and painting are her favorite past times along with laughter, lots and lots of laughter.

 I received this book from the authors for an honest review.

Holy hell was this book a riot.  I am a preschool teacher so I do alot of reading while the kids take their 2 hours nap.  OMG I was cracking up  so often I would wake up the kids near me.....oooopppss!!!  So be warned, this is funny.  I really tell people that if they have read Tara Sivec's Seduction and Snacks...they will LOVE this book!!!  The humor is just wrong on so many levels but I cracked up non the less......



Now I did read Pieces of Perfect before reading Sex Snob and I will say you don't have to read the first book.  Lily (the main character from book 1) is in it but her back story is pretty non existent in this book.   Now with that stated, I gotta tell you about Amanda.  She was hurt very badly but a jerk of a boyfriend.  It left Amanda guarded and basically refusing to let anyone in. She is good for some hot sex but if you don't fit into her mold "of the right man" she will let you go.  Well she hates her boss and thinks of fun ways to kill him  (my favorite was to cut his brake lines and then casually mentions getting everyone coffee when she returns).



 She does manage to work out a few nights a week at a gym but really cannot stand the person who runs her class.  Her and Shane have a love hate relationship.  The banter between them is sooooooo hilarious.   Seriously when she tells him his idea of a good night out is LSD and Duct tape...fun for you but not so fun for the lady.....I almost peed my pants!!!   Well another trainer is having a birthday and Shane asks if Amanda will go.  She agrees and ends up having some fun with SHANE...what!!  Can't be!!!  He is a dud and poor....Well the two continue to have this amazingly hot chemistry.  Every scene with them gets hotter and hotter.  I was screaming....KISSSSSSSSS   PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Well let me tell you that first kiss is *gulps ice tea* SIZZLING!!!  But damn Amanda and her freaking RULES stops things from progressing.  She freaks and tries to hide out....but it doesnt work very well.......She keeps denying her attraction to Shane because of her damn RULES!!!  Well Shane defo pursues her but then kinda backs off and plays it cool until one night at the bar.  When he admits his feelings she just spews venom at him and he is devistated.  I will say I was SCREAMING at her by this point.

OMG I cannot forgot the sex in the book....holy hells bells.  It was awesome.  The chemistry between the characters is just thick.  The sex is hot and hard but also was intimate and very caring.  I love Shane and how he knew what Amanda wanted through the whole book.


Well after she realizes she needs to clear her head and she heads to visit her mom, i was cracking up......The ending scene with her and Shane was sweet and totally perfect for them.  The epilogue is through Lily's eyes (it is preparing us fir the sequel to Pieces of Perfect.....) and i have to admit I loved this scene 110%.  I think it really shows the true relationship between Shane and Amanda.  I was extremely happy with the end sand look forward to more of them in Pieces part 2........

Chapter 8: Dance with Hot Rod

I stood in front of Rod, my back to his muscled chest. I began to move, finding my rhythm with the sweet voice that floated through the bar. Rod moved closer to me, but didn’t put his hands on me. He just moved with me, rocking his pelvis into my ass as the music infiltrated every fiber of me. His proximity was intoxicating and I felt the cool moisture of my arousal seep from my body. We were close, but I craved him to be closer. I reached behind myself and placed my hands on his thighs, gathering a bit of his jeans and pulling him into me. Finally, his hands found my hips and clamped down, as if anchoring me to him. I dipped slightly, arching my back and lifting my ass so that it rose between his legs. And as I made contact with his erection, my nipples hardened and the dull ache in my lower abdomen grew stronger. Oh, I need this.

Rod’s hands drifted down my body. His palms pressed into me as they lowered to my stomach, then down to my thighs as he hitched me beneath him and his upper body hovered over me, causing me to lean forward, giving him greater access to my ass. As he ground against me, I tilted my neck. He took full advantage, running his tongue up and down the soft skin, sending tingles throughout my entire body. My hands reached over my head and behind me, finding his hair. I fisted my hands in the unruly strands, pulling his head even farther into my neck. His tongue ran along my jaw, up to my ear, and back down my neck where he kissed and sucked at my flesh. I suddenly wished I had worn a skirt instead of my tight jeans and silk blouse. If I had been, I’m fairly certain I would have hitched it up right there and allowed him to take me amongst all of those other bodies. Public sex had never been so appealing.

And that was the thought that cooled me off a little. We were in public, in direct violation of Rule Number 3. I had always made exceptions to this rule in the past for dirty dancing. It was the one time that I felt warranted sexual touching in public. But what Rod and I were doing was getting dangerously close to copulation. As my mind reeled, Rod turned me to face him. And that’s what killed it completely. I was instantly consumed with the thought that this wasn’t the face I wanted to be seeing right then. It wasn’t the face that I wanted to be doing this with. So, as the song ended, I leaned into Rod. “Thanks for the dance,” I said before walking back to my table.

When Susan told me she was doing another book I was excited.  I had reviewed her book Stripped Bare and loved it and loved the characters.  So I knew I would be in for a real treat.......... I was NOT prepared for how much I was going to get sucked into this story!  O.....M.....G.....  I had a few people warn me because was mention of rape and some other not so nice things.....I prepared myself.  I didn't watch or read any reviews, I wanted an open mind.  I went in with an open mind and I am so glad that I did.  I immediately loved Alex, and I knew that he had a lot of secrets and "something" must have made him be so withdrawn from society and for feeling.  And SAGE..... how can anyone resist the hot actor who is openly gay!?!  I was loving it and then I got to a certain part (I won't spoil it by telling you which chapter..) but I was in the car traveling with my hubby.  First there were tears...I dabbed them with my shirt sleeve...then I found a tissue in my purse.... then I needed another.... THEN the sobbing started.  Hubby asks if I was OK and if he should pull over.  I was sobbing and could not speak...I pointed to my kindle....and then he once again, shook his head.  My daughter (7 yrs old) says, Mommy are you OK?  Are you hurt?  I could only shake my head and continue to read and cry to myself......I felt like I needed a hug at that point!!  I wanted to jump in the book and just hug him!  JUST....HUG....HIM.....  oh my!!!! 

There were twists and turns to this story that I was not expecting.  I was trying, all along, to guess "whodunit"!  I kept changing my mind, but eventually I was right.  But it still took me for a loop!!

 

So if you love M/M books with a great story and romance...this is your book!  keep an open mind and you will love this book as much as I did!!!  I was definitely having a book hangover.  It took me a couple of days to prepare myself to write this review.  Every time I started, I would start crying again.  I better quit now, or I'll be crying again...  GREAT READ -- GO ONE-CLICK!!
